The Bearcat duo combined for 11 goals and three assists to claim program’s first win over Ohio State.

Monica Borzillo, Cincinnati, So., A
In Monday’s win over Ohio State, Borzillo totaled five goals, three assists, eight points and three ground balls as the Bearcats earned their first ever win over the Buckeyes. Her final goal of the contest came with 2:08 remaining and helped halt an OSU run that saw the Buckeyes score twice in a row and cut the lead to 16-10.
 
BIG EAST Midfielder Of The Week
McKenna Rushford, Cincinnati, So., M
Rushford had a monster game to lead Cincinnati over Ohio State with six goals, six caused turnovers, four ground balls and two draw controls. Her six goals are second-most in Bearcat single-game history.
 
BIG EAST Defensive Player Of The Week
Elizabeth Armstrong, Villanova, Sr., D
Armstrong led the Wildcats in a pair of strong defensive showings, holding both opponents last week to just seven goals in back-to-back wins. The senior defender totaled six caused turnovers and seven ground balls as Villanova outshot its opponents 68-36, including 48-26 on goal, in road victories at Bucknell and Holy Cross.
 
BIG EAST Freshman Of The Week
Sabrina Cristodero, Florida, Fr., D
Cristodero tied a UF freshman record by winning eight draw controls in Florida’s overtime win over No. 23 Loyola on Sunday, including the crucial opening draw of overtime to give UF possession and ultimately the chance to win the game. The freshman also caused two turnovers and collected a ground ball to round out her performance. Through three games, Cristodero leads the Gators in draw controls (15) and caused turnovers (6).
 
BIG EAST Weekly Honor Roll
Julie Blaze, Vanderbilt, Jr., M
Blaze led the Commodores to a 19-7 win over Furman on Saturday with four goals, an assist, five points and four draw controls. Vandy improved to 3-0 on the season with the win and received votes in the Inside Lacrosse Media Poll for the first time since April 2012.
Haelle Chomo, Georgetown, Jr., GK
Chomo earned the win in the cage at Drexel on Saturday with nine saves and five ground balls as the Hoyas scored a 16-8 victory.
Riley Hill, Marquette, Sr., A
Hill sparked the Golden Eagles to a 22-12 win over Stetson with seven points off four goals and three assists while adding four draw controls and a ground ball.
Grace Nolan, Connecticut, Sr., A
Nolan led the Huskies to a 12-8 win over California on Friday with seven points off four goals and three assists while adding four ground balls.
Jen Rodzewich, Temple, Fr., M
Rodzewich’s week was highlighted by a seven-point performance in Sunday’s win at Lafayette. She scored five goals and added two assists while causing three turnovers and grabbing three ground balls.
