Trailing 6-4 midway through the first half, Georgetown (3-1) scored five of the next six goals, including two by Francesca Whitehurst, to take a 9-7 lead. The Hoyas never trailed again and led by as many as four, despite a late-game push by the nationally ranked Blue Jays. Whitehurst finished with four points off a hat trick and assist and added six draw controls, while Haelle Chomo made seven saves in the cage. The top-25 win was Georgetown’s first since knocking off No. 15/14 Duke, 10-9, on March 9, 2016.

A five-goal run in the first half proved the difference maker as UConn won at UNH, 16-8. The eight-goal victory is the Huskies largest margin of victory and the first road win of the season as they improve to 3-2 overall. Grace Nolan finished with five goals and four assists to lead the charge, while Grace Breshlian registered nine saves.

4/6 Florida 16, Jacksonville 5
A 9-0 run during the first 20 minutes of action Wednesday night powered No. 4/6 Florida (3-1) to a 16-5 victory over Jacksonville (2-2). Grace Haus paced the Gator attack by scoring a career-high four goals on five shot attempts, while adding two ground balls and a draw control. All 26 Gators who were dressed for action Wednesday night saw playing time, including reserve goalkeepers Olivia Cole and Kenzii Kittell. Both Cole (2) and Kittell (1) made their first save of the season.

18/17 Notre Dame 15, Marquette 10
Marquette used an inspiring second-half effort to give No. 17-ranked Notre Dame all it could handle, but the Irish added two late goals to hand on for a 15-10 home win at Arlotta Stadium. Trailing 10-3 after 30 minutes, the Golden Eagles (3-3) were able to regroup for the second half, outscoring the Irish (4-2), 7-5, with a 17-12 shots advantage and just five turnovers after 11 first-half miscues. Allison Lane led MU with three goals on six shots, while Grace Gabriel added two goals on a team-high seven shots.

Haley Hallenbeck tallied five points off a hat trick and two assists but it wasn’t enough for the Bulldogs to claim their first win of the year, falling to 0-3. CMU held a 27-21 advantage in shots and the teams were even in ground balls (25) and draw controls (15).
