NEW YORK – The 10th and final episode of the fourth season of
This Week In The BIG EAST Radio Show, distributed by Westwood One, dropped Thursday night. This week’s featured guests included: BIG EAST Coach of the Year Chris Mack, Villanova guard and BIG EAST Player of the Year Jalen Brunson and the Philadelphia Inquirer’s Joe Juliano. The final episode is recorded from the floor of Madison Square Garden, the World’s Most Famous Arena.
The 2017-18 season of This Week In The BIG EAST is available for download on iTunes, Google Play and Stitcher in addition to its Westwood One Distribution. The show airs on two
Sirius XM stations as ESPNU radio has been added in addition to the Sports PXP station. The show will run on Saturday at 6 a.m. ET on ESPNU Radio (Sirius XM Channel 84). Additionally, the show will run on Sirius Sports PXP on Saturday at 11 a.m. on Sirius Channel 83 across all devices (FOX Sports).
The hosts for This Week In The BIG EAST (#TWITBE) are John Rooke, a longtime BIG EAST play-by-play voice for 30 years, and Kevin McNamara, who has covered the BIG EAST for 28 seasons at the
Providence Journal and is a columnist for
Basketball Times. Rooke and McNamara give a comprehensive look at the teams, coaches, players and storied tradition of the top basketball conference in America in each episode.
Rooke and McNamara meet this week’s guests on the floor of Madison Square Garden, the home of the 2018 BIG EAST Tournament presented by Jeep. The tournament and March Madness are in full swing and the BIG EAST is right in the middle of it all. The BIG EAST Spotlight shines on Mack, head coach of the No. 1 seed in the tournament and 2018 BIG EAST Coach of the Year. Mack discusses the run his Xavier team has made the season en route to winning the regular season BIG EAST Championship. The BIG EAST Focus narrows on junior guard Brunson, Villanova’s leading scorer and the 2018 BIG EAST Player of the Year. The National Perspective comes from the Philadelphia Inquirer columnist Juliano. Juliano gives his thoughts on how the BIG EAST stacks up among other power basketball conferences and how Villanova has the ability to make a deep run in March.
The episode’s “Who’s Hot” segment features audio clips from some recent big performances around the league and a recap of the league’s weekly honors. “Who’s got next?” takes a look at the upcoming schedule, highlighting the big matchups.
