BIG EAST Esports Championships Set For Saturday And Sunday

NEW YORK – The BIG EAST Esports Invitational Powered by ESL concludes this weekend as the championship brackets are set for both the Rocket League® by Psyonix and the League of Legends (LOL) by Riot Games.
 
The League of Legends semifinals will begin on Saturday at 11 a.m. ET as No. 1 seed DePaul (5-0) will compete against No. 4 seed Providence (2-3). Following the first semifinal, No. 2 Villanova (4-1) will play against No. 3 Seton Hall (3-2). The BIG EAST Esports Invitational League of Legends Champion will be crowned following the final which will take place at approximately 5 p.m. The semifinals and finals will air live on Twitch.tv/ESL_LOL.
 
On Sunday, the Rocket League semifinals start at 5 p.m. with No. 1 DePaul (5-0) facing off against No. 4 Butler (2-3) at 5 p.m. ET. The second semifinal will follow with No. 2 Seton Hall (4-1) playing against No. 3 Marquette (3-2). The BIG EAST Esports Invitational Rocket League title will be determined after the final which will take place at approximately 6 p.m. The Rocket League semifinals and finals will air live on Twitch.tv/ESL_RocketLeague.
 
In addition to the official ESL Twitch.tv channels, the BIG EAST will also simulcast on the BIG EAST YouTube Channel and Facebook page. The member schools with Twitch.tv channels will also simulcast. See below for individual team Twitch and social media accounts.
 
Match scores will be updated on www.BIGEASTgaming.com as matches finish to avoid spoilers during the broadcast.
 
ESL is the world’s largest independent esports company. This pilot program between the BIG EAST and ESL was announced in mid-March 2018.
