BIG EAST Attack Player of the Week
Jake Carraway, Georgetown, So., A (Annapolis, Md.)

Georgetown sophomore attacker Jake Carraway earns BIG EAST  Attack Player of the Week honors as he tallied eight points in the Hoyas’ 15-6 victory in a non-league home finale over NJIT. He led all BIG EAST players last week with his four goals and four assists. Carraway also added two ground balls and a caused turnover to his stat line. His four goals came on just five shots on goal.
 
BIG EAST Midfielder of the Week
Connor Kirst, Villanova, So., M (Barnardsville, N.J.)
Villanova sophomore Connor Kirst led the Wildcats in goals in the 10-8 road victory at St. John’s. Kirst scored the game-tying goal at 2-2 with 4:30 left in the first quarter. He also scored the fourth goal, man-up. In the fourth quarter, Kirst opened with a goal to put Villanova up 9-6. Kirst also collected one ground ball and caused one turnover.
 
BIG EAST Defensive Player of the Week
Dylan Gaines, Denver, Jr., D (Baltimore, Md.)
Denver junior defender Dylan Gaines caused two turnovers and picked up five ground balls and held his man to just one goal in 1-for-6 shooting and 2-for-6 shots on goal in Denver’s 15-6 victory over Providence on the road on Saturday. It was the ninth time in his career he caused multiple turnovers. Gaines also finished one shy of his career high in ground balls.
 
BIG EAST Freshman of the Week
Ted Sullivan, Denver, Fr., M (Tucson, Ariz.)
Denver freshman Ted Sullivan scored two goals in the Pioneers 15-6 victory at Providence to give Denver at least a share of the BIG EAST Regular Season title. He was one of five players to score multiple goals for Denver in the game.
 
BIG EAST Weekly Honor Roll
Joe Reid, Denver, Sr., M (Petaluma, Calif.)
Reid scored a hat trick to lead the Pioneers in scoring in the 15-6 victory at Providence.
Gibson Smith, Georgetown, Fr., D (Pelham, N.Y.)
Smith led the Hoyas to a 15-6 victory in non-league action against NJIT with five ground balls and a caused turnover. Smith led a Georgetown defense that allowed just one shot on goal in the first quarter while shutting out NJIT for 20:13 to start the game. Only two of NJIT’s goals were scored while he was on the field.
Sean Leahey, Providence, So., M (Cranford, N.J.)
In a 1-1 week for Providence, Leahey had five goals, four in the 12-11 overtime win over crosstown rival Brown. Leahey also scored a goal in the 13-6 loss to Denver.
Matt Hanley, St. John’s, Sr., G (Bethpage, N.Y.)
Hanley shined between the pipes for the Red Storm despite the 10-8 loss to Villanova. Hanley turned aside 17 Wildcat shots, a BIG EAST single game high for the season.
Michael Toomey, Villanova, So., G (Wrentham, Mass.)
Toomey saved 10 St. John’s shots to preserve a 10-8 Villanova road victory on Saturday along with a .556 save percentage.
