NEW YORK  – Creighton’s Will Robertson earns BIG EAST Player of the Week honors, while Seton Hall righty Ricky DeVito was named Pitcher of the Week.  
 
BIG EAST Player of the Week
Will Roberston, Creighton, So., OF (Loose Creek, Mo.)
Creighton outfielder Will Robertson helped lead Creighton to a 3-1 week as he hit .450 (9-for-20) with three home runs and nine RBI for a 1.100 slugging percentage. Robertson had a multi-hit performance in each of the Bluejays’ four games, led by a three-hit contest in Creighton’s 7-3 win over Xavier on Saturday, which coincidentally  was the only game he didn’t hit home run. In the 2-1 series against Xavier, Robertson went 7-for-15 (.467) with six RBI and two home runs in the series win over Xavier. The sophomore collected 22 total bases with a .476 on-base percentage.
 
BIG EAST Pitcher of the Week
Ricky DeVito, Seton Hall, So., RHP (Staten Island, N.Y.)
Seton Hall sophomore Ricky DeVito had a career-best performance against Butler on Saturday in Indianpolis, solidifying the series win. DeVito tossed a career-high eight shutout innings scattering just four hits. He struck out a career-high eight batters and walked only one. The right-hander’s eight-inning performance is the longest outing for any Pirate pitcher so far this year. Seton Hall defeated Butler 3-0. The Pirates went for the series sweep on Sunday.
 
BIG EAST Weekly Honor Roll
Mitch Ragan, Creighton, Jr., RHP (Omaha, Neb.)
Ragan held Xavier scoreless through six innings to secure the series win over the Musketeers on the road. He struck out six, limiting XU to three hits to earn the win.
Kevin Magee, St. John’s, Sr., LHP (Pompton Lakes, N.J.)
Magee tossed six shutout innings against Georgetown on Saturday, solidifying another BIG EAST win for the Red Storm. Magee scattered five hits and struck out seven in the 9-1 Red Storm victory.
Luke Stampfl, St. John’s, Grad, SS (Dix Hills, N.Y.)
Stampfl helped St. John’s to its third BIG EAS T sweep of the year as he batted .462 last week (6-for-13), scored four times and sent in three runs. The shortstop had a .769 slugging percentage in 4-0 week for the Red Storm.
Rob Dadona, Seton Hall, Sr., 2B (Staten Island, N.Y.)
Dadona played a large role in Seton Hall’s sweep of Butler on the road last weekend as he hit .471 for the week (8-for-17) with two runs, six RBI and two homers. In the series opener against the Bulldogs, Dadona went 3-ro-5 with a homer, a run and three RBI. On Saturday, the Pirates leadoff batter had four hits and batted in two of Seton Hall’s three runs.
Conor Grammes, Xavier, So., UTIL (McLean, Va.)
Despite a 1-3 week for Xavier, Grammes was a bright spot as he went 9-for-16 (.562) with four runs scored, three RBI, a double and two homers to help a 1.000 slugging percentage. He went 2-for-4 with a homer and two RBI in the loss to Creighton on Friday, then 3-for-3 against the Bluejays on Saturday, while also striking out six batters in three innings, making his first start of the season.
