BIG EAST Attack Player of the Week
Ethan Walker, Denver, So., A (Peterborough, Ontario)

Denver sophomore attacker Ethan Walker scored eight goals and finished with nine points in then-No. 4 Denver’s 22-6 win over then-No. 7 Villanova on the road on Friday night. Walker’s eight goals tied the single-game BIG EAST record. Walker scored seven of his eight goals in a school-record 18-goal first half. He took just 11 shots. Walker was the first Pioneer to find the back of the net eight times since Wesley Berg in the first round of the NCAA Tournament in 2013. Walker added an assist for nine points, tying for third-most points in Denver’s single-game history behind Berg’s 10-point performance in2 015 and Jeremy Noble’s 10-point performance in 2012. Nine points in a BIG EAST game ranks third in the all-time records behind Kiernan McArdle from St. John’s with 12 points against Rutgers and Berg’s 10 against Villanova in 2015. Along with Walker, four other players have had nine points in a game.
 
BIG EAST Midfielder of the Week
Trevor Baptiste, Denver, Sr., FOS (Denville, N.J.)
Denver senior Trevor Baptiste helped the Pioneers keep possession for nearly the entire game at No. 7 Villanova as he won 27 of his 30 faceoff attempts and added 17 ground balls. In addition to his performance at the midfield, Baptiste also scored a goal and added an assist. Baptiste kept Denver’s offense in a rhythm to score on 18 of 27 possessions in the first half. Baptiste’s 17 ground balls tied for fourth most in Denver history. It was Baptiste’s third-best performance. His 27 faceoff wins were a career best.
 
BIG EAST Defensive Player of the Week
Nick Marrocco, Georgetown, Sr., G (Duxbury, Mass.)
Georgetown goalie Nick Marrocco led the Hoyas to their first BIG EAST win of the season, 8-4 over visiting Providence with 12 saves between the pipes. Marrocco picked up four ground balls and finished the game with a .750 save percentage to go with 4.00 goals against average. The win helped snap a three-game losing streak for Georgetown. The 12 saves tied a season high.  Georgetown held Providence to scoreless droughts of 15:40 and 20:48 spanning the final three periods.
 
BIG EAST Freshman of the Week
Ted Sullivan, Denver, Fr., M (Tucson, Ariz.)
Denver freshman Ted Sullivan marked five points in the 22-6 victory at No. 7 Villanova on Friday. He scored the first goal of the game for Denver, his career first goal as a Pioneer. Sullivan scored on four of his six shots. Four of his five points came in a school-record 18 goal first half.
 
BIG EAST Weekly Honor Roll
Jake Carraway, Georgetown, So., A (Annapolis, Md.)
Carraway scored a game-high four goals in the 8-4 win over Providence, the Hoyas first league win of the season. Carraway also picked up two ground balls.
Cole Blazer, Marquette, Sr., G (Libertyville, Ill.)
Blazer made a season-best 16 saves and picked up three ground balls in the 11-10 overtime league win at St. John’s. The senior turned away six shots on net in the third quarter as well as four in the final period of regulation, one in OT.
Noah Richard, Marquette, Jr., LSM (West Chester, Pa.)
Richard picked up a career-high eight ground balls and added a second period goal in the 11-10 overtime victory at St. John’s. Richard helped Zachary Melillo win 18-of-24 faceoffs .
Alex George, Providence, Jr., FOS (Simsbury, Conn.)
George went 10-for-11 from the faceoff dot and collected four ground balls in a 8-4 loss at Georgetown. Providence was 13-of-15 on the day from the X.
Mike Madsen, St. John’s, So., M (Locust Valley, N.Y.)
Madsen had a hat trick in St. John’s 8-6 loss at Stony Brook in midweek action. Against Marquette in a 11-10 overtime loss, Madsen scored a goal and added an assist for a five-point week.
