NEW YORK - The BIG EAST Olympic sports championship schedule for the 2018-19 season features four first-time hosts with returning trips to familiar host sites. For the fourth consecutive year, Jeep will be the presenting sponsor of the sport championships.

Cross Country will return to Northview Church in Indianapolis, Ind., where the championship was held in 2013. Butler will serve as the co-host. Men's and women's soccer will continue to be hosted by the highest remaining seed for each of the tournaments' three rounds. It is the second year women's soccer has used this current format, the third year for the men.

Affiliate member Liberty University will host the BIG EAST field hockey championship for the first time. The Flames joined the league as an affiliate member in 2016. The championship will be held at Liberty's Field Hockey Field in Lynchburg, Va.

Volleyball will make its return to D.J. Sokol Arena in Omaha, Neb., where Creighton will host for the third time (2013, 2015). Starting in 2018, the volleyball regular season winner from the previous season will host the next year's championship.

The swimming and diving championships will return to Nassau Aquatic Center in East Meadow, N.Y.

Both the indoor and outdoor track & field championships will have new homes for 2018-19 with Icahn Stadium in New York, N.Y. hosting the outdoor championships and the Spire Institute in Geneva, Ohio, hosting the indoor championships. Spire has hosted the outdoor championships in 2016 and 2018 as well as the swimming and diving championships in 2018.

In the spring, Marquette University will host the women's lacrosse championship. The Golden Eagles qualified for the BIG EAST tournament for the first time in 2018. The championship will be held at Valley Fields in Milwaukee, Wis.

Tennis will return to the Cayce Tennis Center in Cayce, S.C. for the fourth straight year. Callawassie Island Club in Okatie, S.C. continues to be the host of both the women's and men's golf championships.

The men's lacrosse championship will return to the lacrosse capital of the west as Denver will host the tournament for the second time at Peter Barton Lacrosse Stadium. Only three schools have ever hosted the men's lacrosse championship: Villanova (2012-15, 18), Providence (2017) and Denver (2016).

Softball will return to the Ballpark at Rosemont, Ill., hosted by DePaul for the sixth straight year.

The location of the 2019 BIG EAST Baseball Championship will be released at a later date.
