The Hall improved to 9-0 at home with a six-point win over the visiting Friars. Shadeen Samuels posted her third consecutive double-double with 19 points and 10 rebounds to go along with five assists and a pair of steals. Teammate Nicole Jimenez matched Samuels for the game high with 19, while Kaela Webb led the Friars with 16 points. Tied at 56-56 after three quarters, Desiree Elmore scored eight of her career-high 16 in the final quarter as the Pirates scored 23 in the decisive frame. The game featured a staggering 18 ties as nearly eight minutes of the contest was played with a knotted score.

RV/RV DePaul 66, Villanova 59 OT
The back-and-forth battle was separated by no more than seven points for the entire 45-minute contest which featured 14 ties and nine lead changes. The Wildcats led by three with 1:05 left in the fourth after a Kelly Jekot layup, but Mart’e Grays drilled a triple with 48 seconds left to send the game into OT. It was all DePaul in the bonus period as the visiting Blue Demons scored 16 seconds into the frame and never trailed. Chante Stonewall and Tanita Allen combined for nine of DePaul’s 11 overtime points, while Stonewall finished the game with a team-high 14 points to go along with 10 rebounds for her third double-double of the year. VU’s Mary Gedaka led all scorers with 22 points off 11-of-15 shooting while Jekot added 17.

15/14 Marquette 72, Georgetown 62
The Golden Eagles overcame a slow start and 14-point deficit to claim their fifth consecutive win and remain unbeaten in BIG EAST play. Conference scoring leader Natisha Hiedeman scored 20 points and grabbed 10 rebounds for her third double-double of the year, while GU’s Dorothy Adomako led all scorers with 21 points. The Hoyas held MU to a season-low seven first-quarter points, but the Golden Eagles responded with a 25-point second quarter to head into halftime tied. Marquette led for the entire third quarter before a dramatic fourth saw five ties and two lead changes. Tied at 60-60 with 4:42 left, MU went on a decisive 8-0 run, keeping GU off the scoreboard until the final 27 seconds. Danielle King went 4-for-4 from the free-throw line to close out the win for Marquette.

Creighton 65, St. John’s 63
The Bluejays shot 63 percent in the second half and scored 28 fourth-quarter points to overcome a double-digit deficit and split a weekend road trip to the tri-state area. Temi Carda and Audrey Faber combined for 39 points to lead Creighton, while Alisha Kebbe scored 18 for the host Red Storm. Tiana England’s layup with nine seconds left tied the game for the seventh time before Carda’s jumper six seconds later gave the Bluejays a two-point lead. Qadashah Hoppie was fouled with a second left but missed both free throws. St. John’s had its second fewest turnovers of the season (nine) and its most accurate three-point shooting performance of the year (.533).
