Senior Allazia Blockton scored 15 points, with her 11
th of the game being the 2,000
th of her career, becoming the only Marquette player, men’s or women’s, to ever reach that mark. Blockton was one of five Golden Eagles in double figures as Erika Davenport posted an impressive double-double of 18 points and 19 boards, while Natisha Hiedeman matched Davenport’s game high of 18 points. MU never trailed, opening the game on a 21-2 run to set the tone early. Aaliyah Dunham led the host Musketeers with 16 points while A’riana Gray grabbed 11 boards. No. 10/9 Marquette improved to 8-0 in BIG EAST play and reached the 90-point mark for the ninth time this season, fourth in BIG EAST play.

RV/RV DePaul 86, -/RV Butler 78
A game of runs which included 16 ties and nine lead changes went in favor of the visiting Blue Demons, who improved to 16-0 all-time against the new-look Bulldogs. Butler led by 12 with 6:07 remaining before DePaul went on a 20-3 run en route to a 30-11 fourth quarter. Each team had four players score in double figures with DePaul’s Chante Stonewall posting a game-high 25 points off 9-of-12 shooting, including 6-of-7 from deep. Kristen Spolyar led the Bulldogs with 22 points. DePaul drained 16 three-pointers to Butler’s four, while the Bulldogs scored 44 points in the paint to the Blue Demons’ 18.

St. John’s 59, Georgetown 51
The visiting Hoyas trimmed a 12-point deficit down to four with under three minutes to play, but the St. John’s defense held GU without a point until five seconds remained as the Red Storm halted a five-game skid and defeated Georgetown. Curteeona Brelove posted a double-double of 17 points and 10 rebounds, both game highs, to lead St. John’s. Brianna Jones scored 14 for GU. The Red Storm committed just nine turnovers, the fourth game this season they’ve had single-digit miscues.

Villanova 70, Seton Hall 66
The visiting Wildcats erased a nine-point fourth-quarter deficit to defeat the Pirates, despite 27 points and 16 rebounds from SHU’s Shadeen Samuels. Villanova saw four score in double figures as Mary Gedaka posted 20 points off 8-of-10 shooting to lead the Wildcats, sinking the game-sealing free-throws in the final seconds. Villanova outscored The Hall 25-15 over the final 10 minutes, making 7-of-11 attempts from the field compared to the Pirates’ 4-of-16 clip during that stretch. VU drained 10 triples, the third consecutive game the Wildcats knocked down double-digit threes.
