SJU’s Einar Lye recorded his second multi-goal outing of the season for St. John's, adding insurance tallies in the 65th and 79th minutes to help put away the game.  Skage Simonsen netted the game-winner, heading home a corner kick in the 35th minute to give St. John's an early edge that it would not relinquish. Tani Oluwaseyi had two assists.  Luka Gavran and Jan Hoffelner combined to record the team's eighth shutout of the season.  Gavran, who played the final 45 minutes, made two of the team's three saves.  The third belonged to a field player, as Duarte turned aside a shot on the goal line in the second half to help preserve the clean sheet. Butler and DePaul played 110 minutes Saturday night, ending the BIG EAST contest in a 2-2 draw. With Butler leading 2-1 in the 90th minute, the Bulldogs were called for a foul just inside the box that resulted in a penalty kick. The conversion by Max De Bruijne knotted the match at 2-2, which is how it ended after 20 extra minutes. The Bulldogs erased a 1-0 halftime deficit with goals in the 49th and 78th minutes. The first goal was a blast from 20 yards out off the right foot of senior Derek Sutton. The second tally was a header by Jared Timmer off a corner kick served up by Jack Haywood. DePaul's 1-0 first half lead came off a left-footed shot by Jake Fuderer in the 19th minute. It came off a free kick from 25 yards away. Each team had a goal disallowed due to offsides calls. Butler looked to score in the eighth minute after a flurry of five passes within the box, but the goal was pulled off the board with an offsides call. DePaul's attempt at taking a 2-1 lead in the 67th minute was also disallowed. Timmer saw his first action of 2019 after working back from a preseason injury. He logged the start, played 72 minutes and scored Butler's second goal.
