Two matches will stream on the BIG EAST Digital Network while No. 11 Georgetown and Providence battle for first place in the standings.

WSOC Notes - 10.4 Update
NEW YORK –
All 10 BIG EAST women’s soccer teams return to the pitch on Sunday for Round 3 of league action. Two of the five matches will stream on the BIG EAST Digital Network presented by SoFi, beginning at 1 p.m. ET when Seton Hall visits Xavier. Each coming off Thursday night wins, the day’s second tilt pits St. John’s at DePaul at 2 p.m. Also of a note, a battle of the two remaining conference unbeatens is on tap for the Ocean State as Providence hosts No. 11 Georgetown at 1 p.m. Villanova at Butler (1 p.m.) and Creighton at Marquette (2 p.m.) rounds out the Sunday slate.

Why We’re Watching …
#11 Georgetown at Providence (1 p.m., Friars.com): The winner of this match will be all alone atop the standings and extend their conference-leading winning streak. The 11th-ranked Hoyas have won six straight, including four consecutive shutouts. The Friars have won four straight, three of which have come in overtime. PC and GU are the top two teams in points and goals through two conference games – the Friars have 14 points and six goals to the Hoyas’ 13 points and five goals. GU’s Amanda Carolan is the BIG EAST’s points leader in conference play with five, while PC’s Elayna Grillakis, fresh off her third golden goal of the year, lists second with four points.
Seton Hall at Xavier (1 p.m., BEDN): The Musketeers are 3-0-1 at home this season, outscoring their opponents 9-2 in those matches. BIG EAST points leader Samantha Dewey has been held off the scoreboard through two conference tilts, which means the redshirt-senior midfielder could be due for a big outing on Sunday. Dewey could face some challenges, however, with freshman goalkeeper Harpa Johannsdottir. Johannsdottir has been a workhorse for Seton Hall, ranking second in conference play with 5.5 saves per contest. She surrendered just one score at St. John’s on Thursday night.
Villanova at Butler (1 p.m., facebook.com/ButlerBulldogs): After winning their BIG EAST openers, both teams fell on Thursday and will look to get back on top in Round 3 of league action. Brice McInroy has been the offensive standout for the Wildcats, ranking fifth in the BIG EAST with five goals on the year while leading Villanova with 11 points. Anja Savich lists just above McInroy in both categories, registering six goals and 14 points over 11 matches.
St. John’s at DePaul (2 p.m., BEDN): After BIG EAST-opening setbacks, both teams rebounded with Thursday wins to move to 1-1 and enter into a six-way tie for third place in the standings. Morgan Turner and Kristin Boos have been a 1-2 knockout for the Blue Demons, combining for seven goals, including three game winners. Both scored in Thursday’s victory over Butler. For the Red Storm, Zsani Kajan leads with four goals, but has been held without a point over two BIG EAST games. It’s not for lack of opportunities however, as Kajan has averaged 4.5 shots per game in BIG EAST play.
Creighton at Marquette (2 p.m., GoMarquette.com): The Golden Eagles have had to face the top two teams in the BIG EAST standings in the first two contests of league play, most recently dropping a double-overtime heartbreaker to Providence. Six different MU players have scored on the season, with Alex Campana being the most recent addition to that list after her equalizer on Thursday night. Skylar Heinrich has been on fire for the Bluejays, ranking 15th nationally with nine goals on the year, fourth among all Division I freshmen. She has scored in each BIG EAST contest so far, including the game winner versus DePaul.
