-- Week three of BIG EAST volleyball starts on Wednesday as Villanova (12-3, 3-1 BIG EAST) visits St. John's (10-7, 2-2) with first serve set for 6 p.m. ET, while Georgetown (11-7, 1-3) travels to Seton Hall (6-12, 1-3) for a 7 p.m. contest.

The Wildcats hold the series over the Red Storm 19-14, while in 2018 the programs split the two regular season meetings. The Hoyas narrowly edge the Pirates in the series 20-18 with each team claiming a sweep last season.

BIG EAST play will resume this weekend with four matches apiece on Friday and Saturday while Villanova takes on non-conference opponent La Salle.

RPI Report
In the NCAA's first RPI report released on Monday, the BIG EAST boasted two teams in the top-20. Marquette landed at No. 12 with a 14-2 record, while Creighton came in at No. 18 at 11-3 on the season. Villanova was at 60th, while St. John's held at 91 to round out BIG EAST programs in the top-100.

NCAA Stats Leaders
No. 10 Marquette appears in the top-10 national statistical rankings in three different categories. The Golden Eagles sit at second in assists per set at 14.23 with a 10th-best 854 assists. MU ranks third in kills per set at 14.83 behind Minnesota and Cincinnati. Georgetown checks in at seventh in service aces with 123. Individually, Marquette's Allie Barber ranks 11th in the country with 4.65 kills per set and total kills at 279. Iva Vujosevic leads the Hoyas in service aces with 32 on the season to rank 11th nationally.

In the Polls
In the latest AVCA rankings released on Monday, the BIG EAST boasted two programs ranked in the top-15. Marquette continued its run of five weeks in the top-10 coming in at No. 10 this week. Creighton reached its highest ranking of the 2019 season at No. 13 as the Bluejays have been ranked for 45 weeks in a row.
