Xavier’s defense scored 25 points off 22 turnovers in a 59-56 win against Missouri Valley favorite Missouri State Friday night at Cintas Center.  Tyrique Jones led the Musketeers with 15 points and six rebounds.  Paul Scruggs, who scored the game’s final basket with five seconds left, finished with 14 points and five assists.
 
The undefeated Musketeers (4-0), who are ranked 21st in both national polls, travel to the Charleston Classic next week.  They will meet Towson in the first round on Thursday.  Naji Marshall leads the team in scoring with a 16.5 mark.  Jones is second in scoring (14.5) and first in rebounding (7.8).
 
A six-game Saturday slate, which includes five games on FS2, starts at noon ET when Villanova hosts Ohio U. on FS2. 
 
The other FS2 telecasts are Saint Peter’s at Providence at 2 p.m., Vermont at St. John’s at 4 p.m., Louisiana Tech at Creighton at 6 p.m. and Wofford at Butler at 8 p.m.  St. John’s and Butler will be aiming to stay unbeaten.  Both are 3-0.
 
The only game not on FS2 is Cornell at DePaul on FSN at 1 p.m.  The Blue Demons (4-0), who are coming off a 93-78 win at Iowa, will be pursuing to start 5-0 for the first time since 1986-87.
