Butler is 6-0 after knocking off Missouri 63-52 in the semifinals of the CBE Hall of Fame Classic in Kansas City, Mo.  The Bulldogs will meet undefeated Stanford tonight in the final at 9:30 p.m. ET on ESPN2.

The Bulldogs made their first six shots from the field against the Tigers and maintained a double-digit lead for most of the game.  Kamar Baldwin and Bryce Golden led a balanced scoring attack with 13 points each.  Butler leads all BIG EAST teams in scoring defense, allowing only 53.2 points per game.  The Bulldogs have won six of their last nine in-season tournament title games.

DePaul, the BIG EAST’s other undefeated team, hosts Central Michigan at 8 p.m. on FS1.  Like Butler, the Blue Demons are 6-0 and off to their best start since 1986-87.  DePaul and Central Michigan met in the first round of last year’s CBI with DePaul taking a 100-86 decision.
Some statistics help show the Blue Demons’ success.  DePaul ranks first in the BIG EAST in field goal percentage, making 50.9 percent, and first in field goal defense, allowing only 35.3 percent.

BIG EAST teams are 46-12 (.793) overall going into Tuesday’s games.

On Wednesday, only Seton Hall is in action.  The Pirates, ranked 13th in the Associated Press poll, meet No. 11 Oregon in the first round of the Battle 4 Atlantis in the Bahamas.  ESPN2 will televise at 9:30 p.m. ET.
