NEW YORK – Georgetown guard Mac McClung and Villanova guard Justin Moore are repeat honorees for weekly men’s basketball honors.  McClung has been named BIG EAST Player of the Week and Moore has been chosen BIG EAST Freshman of the Week.  McClung helped the Hoyas defeat rival Syracuse and Moore supported Villanova’s win against Delaware in the Never Forget Tribute Classic.  Moore has taken Freshman honors three weeks in a row.     
 
BIG EAST Player of the Week
Mac McClung, Georgetown, G, So. – McClung scored a game-high 26 points in an 89-79 victory against Syracuse.  He also had four rebounds, two assists and did not commit a turnover in 36 minutes.  McClung had 21 of his points in the first half when the Hoyas established a 48-36 lead.  In his last three outings, McClung has averaged 26.0 points and has shot 46.2 percent from 3-point range.  
 
BIG EAST Freshman of the Week
Justin Moore, Villanova, G, Fr. – Moore earns Freshman honors for a third straight week.  He came off the bench to tally 16 points while helping the Wildcats defeat Delaware 78-70 at the Never Forget Tribute Classic at Prudential Center.  Among BIG EAST players who are not full time starters, Moore is the top scorer with a 12.6 average.              
 
BIG EAST Honor Roll
Sean McDermott, Butler, F, Sr.
Averaged 13.5 points and 4.5 rebounds in a 1-1 week, including a 53-52 loss at No. 11 Baylor.  Made 7-of-11 from 3-point range and 10-of-15 overall.      
 
Ty-Shon Alexander, Creighton, G, Jr.
Had 22 points, eight rebounds and three assists in an 89-58 win over UT-Rio Grande Valley.  Made 13-of-15 from the foul line.  
 
Paul Reed, DePaul, F, Jr.  
Posted his eighth double-double this season with 16 points and 10 rebounds in a win over UIC (86-65).  Also had a career-high four assists and two steals.          
 
David Duke, Providence, G, So.
Posted 21 points and four rebounds in a win over Stony Brook (82-78).  Shot 4-of-6 from 3-point range.      
 
L.J. Figueroa, St. John’s, G-F, Jr.
Had a team-high 23 points and four rebounds in 24 minutes against Brown, an 82-71 win.
