NEW YORK -- The BIG EAST-Big 12 Battle, a scheduling series between the BIG EAST and Big 12 Conferences, starts this week with two games on Wednesday, two on Saturday and one on Sunday. 
 
The series will continue through Dec. 22.  All 10 teams from each league will participate.  The games will be played in the local markets of the home teams with five home games for each conference. 
 
The four-year agreement continues through 2022-23 with an equal number of games played in each conference’s home market each year.  The matchups were jointly determined. 
 
Broadcast rights of the games are determined by the conference national television rights agreement of the home team.  The Big 12 television rights are controlled by ESPN and the BIG EAST’s men’s basketball television rights are controlled by FOX Sports.
