NEW YORK – Georgetown guard Mac McClung has been named BIG EAST Player of the Week and Villanova guard Justin Moore has been selected BIG EAST Freshman of the Week.  McClung led the Hoyas to two road wins against teams that were previously undefeated.  Moore wins for a second week in a row after helping the Wildcats to a pair of victories.   In a week of strong individual performances, five players averaged at least 21.5 points per game.           
 
BIG EAST Player of the Week
Mac McClung, Georgetown, G, So. – McClung averaged 26.0 points per game while helping the Hoyas deliver the first losses of the season to Oklahoma State (81-74) and SMU (91-74).  He scored a game-high 33 points in the Oklahoma State triumph and added 19 points and a career-high seven assists in the SMU victory.  For the two games, McClung shot 54.5 percent from the field, 52.9 percent from 3-point range and made all seven of his free throws. 
 
BIG EAST Freshman of the Week
Justin Moore, Villanova, G, Fr. – Moore takes Freshman honors for a second straight week.  He averaged 15.5 points per game in a 2-0 week that included victories over Philadelphia Big 5 foes Pennsylvania (80-69) and at Saint Joseph’s (78-66).  Against St. Joe’s, he scored 10 of his 14 points in the second half to help stop a rally when guard Collin Gillespie was out with foul trouble.  For the season, Moore is averaging 12.2 points and is shooting 43.3 percent from 3-point range.            
 
BIG EAST Honor Roll
Kamar Baldwin, Butler, G, Sr.
Averaged 21.5 points, 4.5 assists and 3.5 rebounds in a 2-0 week with wins at Mississippi (67-58) and home against Florida (76-62).  Had 31 points at Ole Miss.      
 
Marcus Zegarowski, Creighton, G, So.
In wins over Oral Roberts (72-60) and Nebraska (95-76), averaged 22.0 points, 6.0 assists and 4.5 rebounds Had 30 points, nine boards and six assists against Nebraska.  
 
Paul Reed, DePaul, F, Jr.  
Averaged 16.5 points, 12.5 rebounds, 4.0 blocks and 3.0 steals in a 1-1 week.  Had 18 points, seven boards and three blocks in OT win over Texas Tech (65-60).          
 
Saddiq Bey, Villanova, F, So.
Averaged 24.5 points and 7.5 rebounds in Philadelphia Big 5 wins against Penn (80-69) and at Saint Joseph’s (78-66).  Had a career-high 27 points against Penn. 
 
Naji Marshall, Xavier, F, Jr.
In a 2-0 week, averaged 27.5 points, 6.0 rebounds and 2.5 steals.  Had 31 points, eight rebounds and five steals in a win over Cincinnati (73-66).  Shot 58.8 percent from the field.
