BIG EAST Attack Player of the Week
Daniel Bucaro, Georgetown, Sr., A (East Setuaket, N.Y.)

Returning to the field after suffering an ACL injury last season, Georgetown senior Daniel Bucaro had seven points in the season opener with a hat trick and four assists. His three goals came on just eight shots, four on goal. He also added a ground ball and a caused turnover.
 
BIG EAST Midfielder of the Week
Noah Richard, Marquette, Sr., LSM (West Chester, Pa.)
Senior LSM Noah Richard posted a goal and an assist in Marquette’s 15-9 win over Bellarmine. Richard also added a ground ball, while also helping to hold the Knights to just 31 total shots, 17 on goal, the second lowest totals in the league over the first two weeks of play.
 
BIG EAST Defensive Player of the Week
Dylan Gaines, Denver, Sr., Defender (Baltimore, Md.)
Denver senior Dylan Gaines had three caused turnovers in the Pioneers season-opening win over Air Force, leading a defense that limited the Falcons to just 14 shots on goal in the contest and four goals allowed. The Denver defense shutout Air Force in both the first and fourth quarters.
 
BIG EAST Freshman of the Week
Brett Boos, Denver, Fr., FOS (Parker, Colo.)
Took every faceoff and won 15 of 19 (.789) in the 11-4 win over Air Force, a team receiving votes in the national polls. Boos also picked up four ground balls and took one shot.
 
BIG EAST Weekly Honor Roll
Owen McElroy, Georgetown, So., GK
Posted 16 saves in his first win of the season with a .618 save percentage and two ground balls. Six of his saves came in the fourth quarter in a 13-10 victory.
Brendan Kearns, Providence, Sr., A
Scored six points (4G, 2A) in the opening two games as the Friars went 1-1. Three of his goals came in a 12-5 win over Holy Cross.
Mike Madsen, St. John’s, Jr., A
Madsen led the Red Storm with a team-high five points (4G, 1A) in a 19-15 loss to then-No. 12 Rutgers. His four goals in a game tied for league best during this early season.
