BIG EAST Attacker Of The Week
Julia Feiss, Denver, Sr., A
Feiss matched the BIG EAST single-game high this season for points while setting the standard in goals in No. 19/19 Denver’s emphatic win over Louisville on Saturday. The senior went for seven points off six goals and an assist, with her first goal of the game proving to be the game winner. She notched a natural hat trick less than 15 minutes into the contest, while finishing the first half with five goals alone. She finished with a game-high nine shots as the Pioneers outshot the Cardinals 32-14 on the afternoon.
 
BIG EAST Midfielder Of The Week
Grace Gabriel, Marquette, Sr., M
In a 1-1 week for the Golden Eagles, Gabriel stuffed the stat sheet with 10 points off eight goals and two assists, along with 25 draw controls, five caused turnovers and five ground balls. She had four goals, 17 draws, two ground balls and two caused turnovers in Friday’s setback at Cincinnati before going for four goals, two assists, eight DC, three GB and CT in Sunday’s win over Detroit Mercy. Gabriel leads the BIG EAST in goals (3.25) and draws (9.00) this season.
 
BIG EAST Defensive Player Of The Week
Haelle Chomo, Georgetown, Sr., GK
Chomo led the defensive effort for No. 22/RV Georgetown in Saturday’s upset win over No. 11/15 Towson. The senior goalkeeper surrendered just seven goals and made eight saves as the Hoyas knocked off the Tigers in Washington, D.C. Chomo’s save percentage, saves per game and goals against average all rank in the top three in the BIG EAST this season.
 
BIG EAST Freshman Of The Week
Shea Garcia, Marquette, Fr., A
Garcia was the BIG EAST’s top scoring rookie last week, totaling 10 points off seven goals and three assists, to go along with five ground balls. Garcia was credited with the game-winning goal against Detroit Mercy on Sunday, one of three goals along with three assists against the Titans. Garcia also posted four goals and four ground balls at Cincinnati on Friday.
 
BIG EAST Weekly Honor Roll
Katie Comerford, Villanova, So., A
Comerford led the Wildcats to a 13-12 win over Cornell on Saturday, totaling two goals, four assists, two ground balls and a draw control. Trailing 4-1 early, Comerford scored back-to-back goals to pull VU within one, before assisting on back-to-back goals to give Villanova its first lead of the game. The Wildcats never trailed again, with Comerford adding two more second-half assists.
Francesca Whitehurst, Georgetown, Sr., M
Whitehurst guided the Georgetown offense in its win over No. 11/15 Towson on Saturday, totaling a game-high four points off a goal and three assists to go along with two ground balls, two draw controls and a caused turnover. Trailing 2-1 early, Whitehurst dished back-to-back assists to give the Hoyas their first lead of the game. GU never trailed again, with Whitehurst providing a late-game goal and assist to increase the Hoyas’ one-goal lead to three.
Charlotte McGuire, Marquette, Grad., M
Charlotte McGuire tallied 10 points and nine goals to lead Marquette over its 1-1 weekend. She put all 10 of her shots on the mark in the team’s first road game of the season at Cincinnati, posting a hat trick in the first half and before finishing with five goals, one shy of her career-high.
