BIG EAST Attacker Of The Week
Eliza Radochonski, Denver, So., A
Radochonski sparked the Pioneers’ offense with six goals, one off the BIG EAST season high, as No. 14/14 Denver racked up a season-high 21 scores in Friday’s victory over Marquette. The win clinched at least a share of the BIG EAST-regular season title for the Pioneers – their first. Radochonski came off the bench to score her first career sock trick, doing so off eight shots, and was 1-for-1 on free position attempts. The sophomore scored a hat trick in each half to help keep the Golden Eagles at bay.
 
BIG EAST Midfielder Of The Week
Francesca Whitehurst, Georgetown, Sr., M
Whitehurst picks up her fourth certificate of the season after leading No. 24/- Georgetown to a win over Old Dominion to clinch its 13th consecutive BIG EAST Championship berth. The senior led all BIG EAST players with seven points in league action last week, going for four goals and three assists while racking up three draw controls and a ground ball. The senior added two points (one goal, one assist) and two draw controls in Wednesday’s setback to No. 2/2 Maryland to finish the week with nine points, five goals, four assists, five draws and one ground ball.
 
BIG EAST Defensive Player Of The Week
Molly Little, Denver, Jr., M
Little led the nation’s top-ranked defense in a crucial win over Marquette on Friday to clinch at least a share of its first BIG EAST regular-season title. The junior tallied seven draw controls, five ground balls and four caused turnovers, while adding a bit of offense with a pair of assists. No. 14/14 Denver caused 16 turnovers on the night, while the Golden Eagles committed a total of 24 miscues. Over four BIG EAST games, Little leads the league in caused turnovers (3.25 per game), while ranking second in draw controls (6.75) and third in ground balls (3.25).    
 
BIG EAST Freshman Of The Week
Sydney Frank, Villanova, Fr., D
Frank came up big on defense in Villanova’s win at Butler on Saturday. The rookie was credited with three caused turnovers and five ground balls as the Wildcats picked up their 10th win of the season and third in BIG EAST play. The victory clinched a postseason berth for Villanova – its first since 2015. The Wildcats also beat Temple on Wednesday, with Frank tallying a ground ball and draw control in the 13-8 decision. The Wildcats outscored their opponents by a combined 30-13 margin last week, outshooting them 64-30, including 43-23 on goal.
 
BIG EAST Weekly Honor Roll
Grace Gabriel, Marquette, Sr., M
The Golden Eagles scored the most goals by a Denver opponent in more than a month, led by Gabriel’s four goals off six shots. She added seven draws, two ground balls and two caused turnovers in the setback. MU still clinched a postseason berth despite the loss, marking its second consecutive BIG EAST Championship bid.
Taylor Gebhardt, Georgetown, Sr., A
Gebhardt totaled eight points off five goals and three assists in a 1-1 week for the nationally ranked Hoyas. Against No. 2/2 Maryland, the senior tallied a team-high three points (1g, 2a) before going for five points (4g, 1a) in Saturday’s home win over Old Dominion.
Devin Hassinger, Villanova, R-Sr., M
Hassinger was pivotal in the Wildcats’ wins at Temple and Butler last week, totaling a staggering 23 draw controls to go along with three ground balls and two goals. She racked up double-digit draws on both games, including 13 against the Bulldogs on Saturday. The win over Butler clinched the Wildcats’ first BIG EAST Championship berth since 2015.
