Marquette claims a trio of honors after upsetting 24th-ranked Georgetown to clinch BIG EAST Championship No. 2 seed.

BIG EAST Attacker Of The Week
Glory Johnson, Old Dominion, Jr., A
Johnson posted a BIG EAST-best six points last week as Old Dominion defeated Butler, 18-6, in both teams’ season finales. The win marked the Monarchs’ first in BIG EAST play. Johnson tallied four goals and two assists, going 1-for-1 in free position attempts, while adding three draw controls and a ground balls. She finished the season with 53 goals to rank second in the BIG EAST, including 17 in league play, while her 60 points ranked fourth overall, and listed third in conference action with 20 points.  
 
BIG EAST Midfielder Of The Week
Grace Gabriel, Marquette, Sr., M
Gabriel scored five second-half goals as the Golden Eagles erased a four-goal deficit to stun 24th-ranked Georgetown, 14-12 on Saturday. The top-25 win was the first for Marquette, and catapulted the Golden Eagles to the No. 2 seed in the upcoming BIG EAST Championship presented by Jeep. Gabriel added two caused turnovers, two draw controls and a ground ball in the victory. Tied 12-12 late in the second half, Gabriel scored her 55th goal of the season, the game-winner over the Hoyas, before adding an insurance score with 2:23 to go for her 56th of the year.
 
BIG EAST Defensive Player Of The Week
Jules Horning, Marquette, Jr., GK
Horning made a season-high 18 saves, one shy of her career high, in the Golden Eagles’ win over No. 24/- Georgetown on Saturday. The junior made 11 second-half stops as Marquette erased a four-goal deficit to claim the upset and clinch the No. 2 seed in the BIG EAST Championship. Horning faced 49 shots on the afternoon.
 
BIG EAST Freshman Of The Week
Shea Garcia, Marquette, Fr., A
Garcia had two second-half scores as the Golden Eagles erased a four-goal deficit to upset 24th-ranked Georgetown on Saturday. The rookie twice tied the game, capping a four-goal run for MU which evened the score at 9-9 with 20:47 to play, before helping to respond to a two-goal sprint by Georgetown to once again even the game, 11-11, with 11:02 to go. All four of her shots on the afternoon were on target. Garcia finished her first season of BIG EAST play with 12 points to rank fifth on Marquette.
 
BIG EAST Weekly Honor Roll
Quintin Hoch-Bullen, Denver, So., A
Hoch-Bullen led the Pioneers to a perfect (5-0) season in BIG EAST play, capped off with a 14-8 win at Villanova on Friday. The sophomore attacker had four points off a hat trick and an assist, along with two ground balls in the victory. She finished the conference season as the league leader in points (22).
Francesca Whitehurst, Georgetown, Sr., M
Whitehurst stuffed the stat sheet for the Hoyas, totaling three points off two goals and an assist, eight draw controls, three ground balls and one caused turnover in GU’s setback at Marquette on Saturday.
Haleigh Wurzel, Old Dominion, Grad., GK
Wurzel wrapped up her career with a win on Saturday, making 12 saves and allowing just six scores for a .667 save percentage. The graduate student faced 21 shots on the afternoon and picked up a ground ball. Wurzel finished her career with 669 career saves.
