In the top-25 battle with No. 22/RV Georgetown on Saturday, Hoch-Bullen led No. 16/18 Denver to the 12-9 win with a game-high five points off four goals, including the game winner, and an assist, along with a ground ball. The sophomore’s fourth score of the game came with 13:10 remaining and proved to be the game-winning goal as the first-place Pioneers picked up their fourth top-25 win of the season. It also marked Denver’s first regular-season win over the Hoyas in three tries.

Grace Gabriel, Marquette, Sr., M
Gabriel set a career-high points mark after scoring five goals and adding in two assists for seven points in Marquette's 16-3 win over Butler on Saturday. The senior also collected five draw controls to reach the century mark on the season and is now seven shy of the single-season program record she set just last year. Gabriel also scooped up one ground ball and caused a turnover in the victory. The seven points are the second-most in BIG EAST play this season while she matched the conference single-game high this season with nine shots.
BIG EAST Defensive Player Of The Week
Carson Gregg, Denver, Jr., GK
Gregg led the nation’s top-ranked defense to its 10
th game of allowing single-digit goals as No. 16/18 Denver defeated No. 22/RV Georgetown 12-9 on Saturday. The junior made 10 saves in the win while adding five ground balls and two caused turnovers. Gregg maintained her spot at No. 2 nationally in goals against average (6.98) while the Pioneers’ defensive scoring average continues to lead Division I at 6.33.
BIG EAST Freshman Of The Week
Shea Garcia, Marquette, Fr., A
Garcia repeats as the top weekly rookie after notching her second straight hat trick, sixth overall, in the Golden Eagles’ first BIG EAST win of the season. She went 2-for-2 on free-position goal opportunities and collected three ground balls. The freshman has now put 44-of-50 shots on goal (88 percent) so far this year, the best efficiency of any Marquette attack.
BIG EAST Weekly Honor Roll
Devin Hassinger, Villanova, R-Sr., M
Hassinger continued her dominance in the midfield and was a huge factor is getting the ball in Villanova's possession during her team's 17-10 win against Old Dominion. The red-shirt senior won 10 of the team's 13 draw controls and also scored one goal, recorded one assist, caused two turnovers and picked up a ground ball. Against 15/17 Princeton, she added a goal, eight draws, two caused turnovers and two ground balls.
Glory Johnson, Old Dominion, Jr., A
Johnson totaled the most goals in a BIG EAST contest since May 3, 2018, as the junior scored seven times against Villanova on Saturday. The seven goals are the most by any BIG EAST player this season, both overall and in conference action. She added nine draws, two ground balls and a caused turnover in the loss.
Francesca Whitehurst, Georgetown, Sr., M
Against No. 16/18 Denver on Saturday, Whitehurst posted team highs of four points (2g, 2a) and four draw controls while adding a ground ball. The senior buried both shots she took on the afternoon and was 1-for-1 on free-position attempts.
