WASHINGTON (Release courtesy of Georgetown Athletics) - Georgetown men's lacrosse will travel to face defending national champion Yale in the first round of the 2019 NCAA Tournament on Saturday, May 11, as announced on the NCAA's selection show on Sunday night. The Hoyas earned an automatic berth in the postseason draw after winning its second-straight BIG EAST championship on Saturday at Denver.
Saturday's game is set for a 2:30 p.m. opening faceoff in New Haven, Connecticut and will be broadcast live on ESPNU.
Georgetown will be making its 13th appearance in the NCAA Tournament and the second in as many years. The Blue & Gray has advanced to nine quarterfinals and one semifinal in program history.
