NEW YORK – BIG EAST women's soccer teams combined for a 5-2 record over the final weekend of non-league play. The record bumps the overall non-conference mark to 43-36-10 (.539), with Xavier (7-1-2), No. 12 Georgetown (6-2-1) and Creighton (6-3-0) leading the pack. Conference play begins this coming weekend for all 10 teams, with all five contests streaming on the BIG EAST Digital Network presented by SoFi.
St. John's 2, Cornell 0
Zsani Kajan led the way for the Johnnies on Saturday, scoring the eventual game winner in the 44th minute before adding an insurance marker in the 69th. The effort marked the redshirt junior's first multi-goal outing of the season and the fourth of her career. Kajan, who leads the team in scoring with four goals on the season, also unleashed a game-high nine shots, five of which were on target. Meredith Reinhardt and Naya Lipkens split time in net for the Red Storm (3-6-0), helping the Johnnies to their second shutout.

Marquette 2, Colorado State 1
Sophomore Alyssa Bombacino scored the go-ahead goal in the 87th minute as Marquette earned a 2-1 victory over Colorado State on Sunday afternoon at a wet Valley Fields. Bombacino's classmate, Macey Shock, scored the equalizer in the 77th minute for the Golden Eagles (3-6-0), who posted a season-high scoring output on the afternoon to notch their first comeback win of the year. Maddy Henry made five saves in the victory.

Villanova 1, Brown 0
The Wildcats’ first shot of the game would be the game-winner. Allison Breed took the ball from the right end-line and cross the ball to the far side of the box. There Brice McInroy was able to get a strong shot off that went into the opposite corner to push Villanova (4-3-2) up 1-0 in the 10
th minute. Brown held an 8-2 advantage in corner kicks and shots, but Rebecca Gartner made two saves to earn the clean sheet.

Xavier 2, Lipscomb 1
Samantha Dewey put the Musketeers (7-1-2) ahead in the first half on a free kick from just outside the 18-yard box. The 1-0 lead held until shortly after halftime, when Lipscomb broke an over five-match scoreless streak for the Musketeers to tie the game at 1-1. The draw held until the 76th minute when Jenna Prathapa used a header to put the Musketeers back ahead, 2-1. Xavier picked up its seventh win of the season, the first time the Musketeers have picked up seven wins in non-conference play since 2013.

Northeastern gained the lead with just 52 seconds remaining in the first half before Elayna Grillakis scored the equalizer for PC (5-3-1) in the 52
nd minute. Scoreless the remainder of regulation, Hannah McNulty scored the golden goal in the 96
th on a right-footed shot from the top of the eighteen-yard box past the extended keeper. Shelby Hogan had six saves in the win, which saw shots even at 10 apiece and Northeastern with a slight 5-3 advantage in corner kicks.

Delaware 2, Seton Hall 1 (2OT)
After Seton Hall and Delaware traded goals in the match's first 3:20, the two teams went scoreless for the next 106 minutes until the Blue Hens snuck one past the Pirates (1-5-1) with 35 seconds remaining in the second overtime to come away with a 2-1 victory Sunday at Grant Stadium. The heartbreaking loss overshadows Laura Hooper scoring her first goal of the season. Freshman goalkeeper Harpa Johannsdottir a career-high 11 saves.

Locked in a scoreless battle with Florida Atlantic into the final ten minutes, the Creighton women's soccer team conceded the game-winning goal with 81:58 showing on the clock as the Bluejays fell to the Owls 1-0 on Sunday.The loss brings Creighton back to Omaha at 6-3-0 on the season, while Florida Atlantic moved to 7-2-0. Keelan Terrell finished with four saves for Creighton.
