NEW YORK – This Week In The BIG EAST Radio Show, distributed by Westwood One, returns for its sixth season with a timely lineup of guests with Marquette standout guard Markus Howard, DePaul head coach Dave Leitao and national college basketball analyst Andy Katz.
The 2020 season of This Week In The BIG EAST is available for download on iTunes, Google Play and Stitcher in addition to its Westwood One distribution. The show airs on three
Sirius XM stations on Saturdays. This Saturday, Jan. 11, the show will air at 11 a.m. ET on Sirius 137, XM 201 and Online 964, leading into the Georgetown at Villanova game which will also air on the same channels.
New this season, the show will also be available on Spotify.

This Week In The BIG EAST (#TWITBE) are John Rooke, a longtime BIG EAST play-by-play voice for 32 years, and Kevin McNamara, who has covered the BIG EAST for 30 seasons at the
Providence Journal and is a columnist for
Basketball Times. Rooke and McNamara give a comprehensive look at the teams, coaches, players and storied tradition of the top basketball conference in America in each episode.
DePaul head coach Dave Leitao (7:31) brings the BIG EAST Spotlight down on his Blue Demons, a program that is no longer flying under the radar after a renaissance late last season, playing in the CBI Finals and enjoying non-conference success . The BIG EAST Focus narrows on Marquette’s “marked man” Markus Howard (24:23) who has picked up where he left off less than a year ago averaging 26.8 points per game, leading the country in scoring. Longtime college basketball writer, columnist and observer Andy Katz (35:45) gives the National Perspective from his seat as the national writer for NCAA.com and broadcaster FOX Sports. Katz gives his take on what the BIG EAST has that has caught the eye of the country and why he ranked @BIGEASTmbb as the toughest conference in the nation.
The episode’s “Who’s Hot” segment features audio clips from some recent big performances around the league and a recap of the league’s weekly honors. “Who’s Got Next?” takes a look at the upcoming schedule, highlighting the big matchups.
