Seton Hall’s Powell, Villanova’s Robinson-Earl Earn #BIGEASTmbb Weekly Honors
NEW YORK – Seton Hall guard Myles Powell has been named BIG EAST Player of the Week for the second week in a row and Villanova forward Jeremiah Robinson-Earl has been selected BIG EAST Freshman of the Week for the second time this season. Powell led the Pirates to a pair of league victories and Robinson-Earl averaged a double-double while also helping the Wildcats to a 2-0 week.
BIG EAST Player of the Week
Myles Powell, Seton Hall, G, Sr. – Powell helped power Seton Hall to a 2-0 week by averaging 23.5 points, 8.0 rebounds, 3.0 assists and 2.0 steals. He started the week with a game-high 24 points, nine rebounds and four assists in an 83-71 win at Xavier. In a 69-55 victory against Marquette, Powell recorded a team-high 23 points, seven rebounds and three steals. Powell, who ranks second in the BIG EAST in scoring with a 21.5 average, takes Player of the Week honors for the third time this season.
BIG EAST Freshman of the Week
Jeremiah Robinson-Earl, Villanova, F, Fr. – Robinson-Earl averaged 10.5 points and 10.5 rebounds in a 2-0 week for the Wildcats. In a 64-59 victory at Creighton, he pulled down a game-high 14 rebounds while scoring seven points. In an 80-66 win against Georgetown, Robinson-Earl “flipped” his production from the Creighton game with 14 points and seven boards against the Hoyas.

Jordan Tucker, Butler, F, Jr.
Came off the bench to score a game-high 17 points and grab six rebounds in a 70-58 win at Providence. Made 7-of-11 from the field.
Christian Bishop, Creighton, F, So.
Averaged 13.0 points, 7.0 rebounds and 2.5 assists in a 1-1 week. Made 10-of-14 (.714) from the floor. Had 16 points and nine rebounds in a loss to Villanova (74-59).
Alpha Diallo, Providence, G, Sr.
Averaged 16.5 points and 8.5 rebounds in a 1-1 week. Had 12 points and 11 rebounds in an 81-80 OT win at Marquette. Had a game-high 21 points in a loss to Butler (70-58).
Rasheem Dunn, St. John’s, G, Jr.
Averaged 18.5 points, 8.5 rebounds, 4.5 assists and 3.0 steals in a 1-1 week. Posted a season-high 19 points, eight rebounds and five assists in a win versus DePaul (74-67).
Saddiq Bey, Villanova, F, So.
Poured in a career-high 33 points, including 8-of-10 from 3-point range, in a win against Georgetown (80-66) and made the go-ahead 3-pointer and finished with 11 points in a 64-59 victory at Creighton.
