Lexi Held led No. 11/12 DePaul to 2-0 weekend while Creighton’s Carly Bachelor posts back-to-back double-doubles.

Held claims her first BIG EAST Player of the Week certificate after leading the 11th-ranked Blue Demons to a pair of wins last week. The sophomore averaged 20.0 points, 6.0 rebounds, 3.0 assists and 50-percent shooting, knocking down 44.4 percent of her shots from deep. She tallied 21 points, eight rebounds and three assists in Friday’s win over Villanova, followed by 19 points, four rebounds and three dimes in just 20 minutes of action in Sunday’s victory over Georgetown. DePaul improved to 9-0 in BIG EAST play and 19-2 on the year overall.
 
BIG EAST Women’s Basketball Freshman of the Week
Carly Bachelor, Creighton, Fr., G/F
Bachelor notched her first career double-double on Friday night, then did it again two days later as the rookie averaged 15.5 points, 11.0 rebounds and .688 shooting in a 1-1 home weekend for the Bluejays. Bachelor tallied a career-high 17 points, 10 rebounds and three steals in 29 minutes off the bench in Friday’s win over Xavier. She followed that with 14 points and a career- and game-high 12 rebounds in her first career start on Sunday against Butler.
