Selena Lott scores 26 to spark Marquette in a road win at Cincinnati on Thursday.

Marquette 86, Cincinnati 75
Senior guard Selena Lott scored 17 of her team-high 26 points in the first 20 minutes as the Golden Eagles built a 49-30 lead heading into halftime. Despite a cold shooting start to the second half, Lott and MU were able to hold off UC, who cut the game to single-digits midway through the third quarter. A strong defensive effort paved the way to victory for Marquette (3-1), as it caused 18 turnovers and scored 21 points off those takeaways. The Golden Eagles also won the battle on the glass, 37-33, and held UC to just 18 percent (2-11) from 3-point range.

Delaware 93, St. John's 88
Leilani Correa scored more points than any St. John's player in the last 25 years, but her historic performance wasn't enough, as a late Red Storm run fell short at Delaware on Thursday afternoon. Correa recorded a career-high 35 points against the Blue Hens on 12-of-24 shooting from the floor, knocking down three of her six attempts from beyond the arc. St. John’s (2-2) led by double figures in the third quarter before Delaware erupted for 36 points in the fourth to steal the win. Qadashah Hoppie, who missed the Red Storm’s first three games, returned on Thursday, dropping 23 points and dishing four assists.

Maine 62, Providence 48
Providence (3-4) and visiting Maine traded runs over the first 10 minutes, but the Black Bears used a 14-4 second frame to pull away. Nine different Friars scored on the afternoon, with Chanell Williams posting a team-high eight points to go along with seven boards, four assists and three steals. PC closed within nine at the end of the third quarter, but an 8-0 Maine run to open the fourth squashed the comeback bid.
