The Hall’s Lauren Park-Lane scored a game-high 29 points but it was Paige Bueckers and the third-ranked Huskies which picked up the win at Walsh Gym on Tuesday night. Bueckers scored 25 points, including 19 in the second half, off 11-of-14 shooting to go along with five assists and four rebounds to lead UConn to its first BIG EAST win since the 2012-13 season. The Huskies (2-0, 1-0 BIG EAST) led by just eight at the half after Park-Lane lit up the scoreboard for 19 points over the first 20 minutes to keep Seton Hall (2-2,0-1) within striking distance. It was all UConn in the third, however, scoring 33 points, including a decisive 21-4 run, to pull away. Olivia Nelson-Ododa notched a double-double of 16 points and a game-high 10 rebounds, while BIG EAST Preseason Player of the Year Christyn Williams added 21 points for the Huskies. SHU’s Desiree Elmore and Mya Bembry joined Park-Lane in double figures with 11 and 10 points, respectively.

Three games are set for Wednesday, including a BIG EAST tilt between St. John’s at Marquette at 3 p.m. ET.
