#BIGEASTwbb Announces Remaining National Television Slate

Seventeen more games added to TV lineup, including the first ever women’s basketball game on FOX.

WBB TV Schedule
NEW YORK –
FOX Sports will air a women’s basketball game for the first time on FOX when UConn visits DePaul on Jan. 31. The expected top-25 matchup highlights the remaining 17-game national television slate for BIG EAST women’s basketball, which includes 14 games on the FOX family of networks along with three on CBS Sports Network. All conference games not designated for television, which also includes a previously announced 13-game SNY lineup, will stream live on the BIG EAST Digital Network presented by SoFi, which is available on FloSports.

The national television slate picks up Jan. 3 on FS1 with a rematch of the last four BIG EAST Tournament title games when DePaul travels to Marquette. Tipoff is set for 2 p.m. ET at the Al McGuire Center. The Blue Demons edged Creighton in Omaha last week on FS1 in the first nationally televised tilt of the season. The first of three CBS Sports Network games follows on Jan. 10 at 4 p.m. when Creighton travels to DePaul. Additional CBSSN games include Seton Hall at UConn (Feb. 10, 7 p.m.) and Marquette at UConn (March 1, 8 p.m.).

St. John’s makes its first national television appearance on Jan. 13 at DePaul on FS2, with tipoff set for 7 p.m. The Red Storm remain the focus on Jan. 17 when they host Marquette at 2 p.m. in a game airing on FS1. The remaining nine games on FOX, FS1 and FS2 will have their tip times announced at a later date, including the historic matchup between the Huskies and Blue Demons.

UConn is in its first season back in the BIG EAST after a seven-year absence. Led by Hall of Fame coach Geno Auriemma, the Huskies won 19 BIG EAST regular-season titles and 18 BIG EAST Tournament crowns between 1982-2013. Additionally, they have claimed 11 national titles, most recently in 2016, including eight as a member of the BIG EAST. DePaul has been the team to beat in the BIG EAST since 2013, winning at least a share of six of the last seven regular-season titles and five BIG EAST Tournament crowns, including the last three. UConn and DePaul have tipped off in non-conference play in each of the last six seasons, including last year’s meeting on FS1 which saw the Blue Demons rally before the Huskies escaped Chicago with an 84-74 victory.

In addition to the selection of conference contests, FS1 will also cover the non-league battle between UConn and South Carolina on Feb. 8. The Gamecocks, who won the 2017 NCAA Championship, are currently ranked fifth in the Associated Press Top 25.

FOX Sports is also the home for out-of-market games on SNY. Out-of-market fans are able to stream the SNY games at no additional cost to authenticated subscribers who have FOX as part of their television package. Users will need to sign in with their TV provider credentials at https://www.foxsports.com/ or in the FOX Sports app. For in-market fans, all games and pre/post-game coverage on SNY are accessible live for authenticated SNY subscribers in the SNY broadcast footprint via SNY.tv and the NBC Sports app.

The BIG EAST Conference previously announced a one-year deal with leading sports streaming service, FloSports, to become the digital home of BIG EAST women’s basketball. The agreement provides a platform for all women’s basketball games that stream on the BIG EAST Digital Network (BEDN) presented by SoFi. FloSports will also carry BIG EAST original content such as “Fast Break”, the Conference’s weekly women's basketball features show.
