Tipoff To League Play
BIG EAST play commences this weekend as a total of six league contests will be played between Friday and Sunday. The first conference game of the year sees Providence visit Marquette at 3 p.m. ET on Friday, followed by Xavier hosting Creighton at 6 p.m. League action continues Saturday when the Friars visit Butler (4 p.m.), before opening weekend wraps up Sunday with a tripleheader: Creighton at Butler (4 p.m.), Xavier at DePaul (4 p.m.) and Villanova at St. John’s (7 p.m.). All six games will stream live on the BIG EAST Digital Network presented by SoFi, which can be found on FloSports.
#BIGEASTwbb Has A New Digital Home
Announced on Thursday, all BIG EAST women’s basketball games designated for the BIG EAST Digital Network presented by SoFi will be carried by FloSports. An Austin, Texas-based direct-to-consumer sports streaming and media company, FloSports provides live and on-demand event coverage, original content, breaking news and more. Basketball-specific content for FloSports can be found at FloHoops.com, or fans can download the FloSports app on iOS or Android devices, as well as the FloSports TV app on Roku, Apple TV 4, and Amazon Fire TV. In addition to games on BEDN, FloSports will also carry BIG EAST original content, such as “Fast Break”, the weekly women’s basketball features show. Upwards of 75 regular-season women’s basketball games annually are streamed on BEDN, as well as the first round of the BIG EAST Tournament presented by Jeep.
Elsewhere Around The League
In addition to the six BIG EAST contests this weekend, two non-league matchups are also on the docket Friday, including the second top-25 matchup of the season for No. 20/19 DePaul. The Blue Demons (1-1) will travel to Mohegan Sun Arena, the future home of the BIG EAST Tournament presented by Jeep, and will face No. 5/5 Louisville in the Jimmy V Classic at 6:30 p.m. on ESPN. Villanova will also face a non-league opponent as the unbeaten Wildcats (2-0) visit nearby foe Temple at noon. That contest will stream on ESPN+.

BIG EAST teams went 0-2 on Wednesday as Marquette fell to crosstown foe Milwaukee,
64-55, and Providence dropped a
58-46 decision at RV/- Boston College. The Golden Eagles put up 43 points in the second half but it wasn’t enough to complete the full comeback, despite a career-high 27 points from Camryn Taylor. Providence was within striking distance for much of the second half, but Boston College held on down the stretch to halt the Friars’ winning streak at two games. Mary Baskerville scored a game- and season-high 20 points off 10-of-16 shooting.
