Three Teams Share Latest #BIGEASTwlax Weekly Awards

BIG EAST Attacker Of The Week
Glory Johnson, Old Dominion, Sr., A
Johnson had the hot hand in a 2-0 week for the Monarchs, totaling 16 points off 12 goals and four assists along with 11 ground balls, seven draw controls and two caused turnovers in wins over VCU and Winthrop. Against VCU on Wednesday, Johnson scored seven goals off 10 shots while adding seven draws. In Saturday’s win over Winthrop, she tallied nine points off five goals and four assists while registering 10 ground balls. Her goals, points and ground ball averages were all tops in the BIG EAST last week.
 
BIG EAST Midfielder Of The Week
Grainger Rosati, Villanova, Sr., M
Rosati led Villanova in a narrow road setback to Cornell on Saturday with four points off a goal and three assists, along with a draw control, ground ball and caused turnover. Three of Rosati’s four points came in the first half as Villanova held a 7-6 lead. Villanova outshot Cornell 29-27 and held a 16-9 advantage in turnovers.

BIG EAST Defensive Player Of The Week
Molly Little, Denver, Sr., M
Little helped limit the Louisville offense to just six goals scored in Saturday’s 15-6 win against the Cardinals. The senior tallied four draw controls and two ground balls, while helping to force Louisville into 23 turnovers and fail on four clear attempts. No. 10/9 Denver outshot Louisville 34-21, including 28-11 on goal.  
 
BIG EAST Freshman Of The Week
Sabrina Leatherwood, Old Dominion, Fr., GK
Leatherwood went 2-0 in net for the Monarchs last week, combining for 21 saves in victories over VCU and Winthrop. The rookie faced 57 shots and posted a 12.00 goals against average and .467 save percentage.  
 
BIG EAST Weekly Honor Roll
Gabryelle Bodine, Butler, So., A
Bodine boosted Butler to its season-opening win over Hanover on Sunday, scoring three goals off four shots to go along with a ground ball and caused turnover.
Bea Behrins, Denver, Jr., A
Behrins sparked the offense in Denver’s 15-6 win at Louisville on Saturday, tallying seven points off six goals and an assist, along with two draw controls.
Megan Menzuber, Marquette, Sr., A
Menzuber tallied seven points off six goals and an assist, along with three ground balls in Marquette’s win over Cincinnati on Friday.
