Creighton won its third game on the road this month against a ranked team when it took a 73-65 decision at No. 19 Marquette on Tuesday.  The 15th-ranked Bluejays (21-6, 10-4) have won eight of their last nine games and moved into second place in the league standings, a half-game behind Seton Hall (10-3).

Trailing 32-22 at half, Marquette (17-8, 7-6) tied the game 38-38 before Creighton went on an 8-0 run to take a lead it would not relinquish.  Ty-Shon Alexander paced the Bluejays with 22 points, five rebounds and four assists.  Sacar Anim led the Golden Eagles (17-8, 7-6) with 18 points.  Markus Howard had 13 points and Theo John added 12 points and a game-high 10 rebounds.

Wednesday has another battle of ranked teams when No. 16 Seton Hall hosts No. 21 Butler at 6:30 p.m. ET on FS1.  The Pirates (18-7, 10-3) have dropped their last two games, but beat the Bulldogs (19-7, 7-6) 78-70 on Jan. 15 behind Myles Powell’s 29 points.  Butler has outrebounded 19 of 26 opponents this year after winning the rebounding battle only 10 times last season.  Butler is aiming for its 20th 20-win season in the last 24 years.

Providence at Georgetown follows Butler-Seton Hall at 8:30 p.m. on FS1.  The Hoyas (15-10, 5-7) are coming off a 73-66 win at Butler that was accomplished with the team’s top two scorers, Mac McClung and Omer Yurtseven, out with injuries.  Providence knocked off Seton Hall 74-71 on Saturday.  Alpha Diallo led PC with 35 points and 10 rebounds.

No. 12 Villanova plays at DePaul at 9 p.m. on CBS Sports Network.  In the first meeting between the teams this season, the Wildcats (19-6, 8-4) prevailed 79-75 in overtime at Finneran Pavilion.  DePaul (13-12, 1-11) was led by Charlie Moore’s 29 points.  The Blue Demons want to end a seven-game losing streak.  Villanova has won 19 in a row in the series.
