BIG EAST Announces 2020 TV, @BIGEASTDigital Spring Slate
NEW YORK – The BIG EAST announced the spring lineup for national television coverage and the BIG EAST Digital Network presented by SoFi (BEDN). The BIG EAST’s broadcast partner, FOX Sports, will carry eight contests spanning four Olympic sports: men’s lacrosse, women’s lacrosse, baseball and softball. Additionally, CBS Sports Network will air various men’s lacrosse and baseball games.
FOX Sports’ spring coverage starts in late April with a men’s lacrosse conference clash between Marquette and Denver on FS1. The regular season contest is slated for 9:30 p.m. ET on April 24. Championship coverage begins on FS2 with the final of the BIG EAST Women’s Lacrosse Championship on Saturday, May 2 (Noon). FS2 will also carry four games from the BIG EAST Softball Championship (May 8-9), which will be played in double-elimination format this season. The BIG EAST Baseball Championship Sunday (May 24, 1 p.m.) will also air on FS2. All championships are presented by Jeep.
CBS Sports Network will continue to feature BIG EAST men’s lacrosse. The network will carry all three games of the BIG EAST Men’s Lacrosse Championship (April 30 and May 2) for the third consecutive year. Additionally, CBS Sports Network will air three regular season games: Denver at Villanova (April 4), Notre Dame at Marquette (April 7) and Georgetown at Villanova (April 11). The network will also pick up two regular season baseball games with Nebraska at Creighton (April 28) and Ohio State at Xavier (May 12). The Buckeyes and Musketeers will play at the home of the BIG EAST Baseball Championship, Prasco Park in Mason, Ohio.

This winter-spring slate for BEDN includes 27 regular-season contests across four sports and nine championships: men’s and women’s swimming & diving, indoor track & field, men’s tennis, women’s tennis, women’s lacrosse, outdoor track & field and baseball.
Spring regular season BEDN games will start March 22 and will continue through May 16.

Championship coverage for BEDN begins with the men’s and women’s tennis championship final on Sunday, April 19. It is the second year BEDN will cover the event live from Cayce, South Carolina. Spring championships continue with women’s lacrosse semifinals on Thursday, April 30, the outdoor track & field championships May 8-9 and the first five games of the baseball championship, May 21-23.
In addition to live coverage, BEDN will also produce same-day highlight packages with post-event interviews that cover the championship rounds of the men’s and women’s golf championships.
BEDN will also carry live coverage of the league’s swimming and diving championships, Wednesday, Feb. 26 through Saturday, Feb. 29, and the indoor track & field championships, Sunday, March 1 and Monday, March 2.
BEDN events will be streamed on YouTube via the conference’s main channel,
www.youtube.com/BIGEASTConference, and co-streamed on the BIG EAST’s dedicated channel on Caffeine TV,
www.caffeine.tv/BEDN. Championship events will also be available on Twitter on the main conference @BIGEAST channel.
BEDN, launched in September 2014 as a streaming-only offering of 225 live regular season and championship events annually for the BIG EAST Conference, spanning women’s basketball, men’s and women’s soccer, volleyball, field hockey, men’s and women’s lacrosse, softball and baseball. Additionally, BEDN produces live championship coverage for indoor and outdoor track & field, men’s and women’s swimming and diving and, for the first time this year, men’s and women’s tennis. SoFi became the presenting sponsor of BEDN in 2017-18.
Additionally, Denver men’s and women’s lacrosse will be featured on the Altitude Sports and Entertainment TV.
