Kelly Campbell, DePaul, Sr., G
Campbell notched just the 16
th triple-double in BIG EAST history on Sunday against Providence, totaling 12 points, 11 rebounds and 13 assists. For the week the senior posted BIG EAST-high averages in rebounds (12.0), assists (8.0) and assist-turnover ratio (+8.0). She shot .455 from the field and added 2.5 steals, while the 13 dimes are the most in a single game by a BIG EAST player this season. Campbell is just the 19
th Division I player to notch a triple-double this season and first for the BIG EAST since she did it against Seton Hall on Dec. 28, 2017. She is the eighth BIG EAST player to record multiple triple-doubles in her career and second from DePaul (Jessica January).
BIG EAST Women’s Basketball Freshman of the Week
Maddy Siegrist, Villanova, R-Fr., F
Siegrist finished fourth in the BIG EAST in scoring last week, averaging 17.5 points to go along with 7.0 rebounds. In Friday’s win over St. John’s, the redshirt-freshman scored a game-high 22 points before notching her BIG EAST-leading ninth double-double of the year with 13 points and 10 rebounds against Seton Hall on Sunday. This is Siegrist’s ninth BIG EAST Freshman of the Week honor, one shy of tying UConn’s Maya Moore and Georgetown’s Natalie Butler for most in a season.
