#BIGEASTwbb Minute: Espinoza-Hunter Shines In Seton Hall Win

SHU’s Andra Espinoza-Hunter scores 25 to lead the Pirates past Marquette on Friday afternoon.

Seton Hall 77, Marquette 66
For a second straight game, Andra Espinoza-Hunter drained seven three-pointers and the Seton Hall graduate student finished with a game-high 25 points to lead the host Pirates to their third win in the last four games. Espinoza-Hunter was one of four Seton Hall players to finish in double figures, along with Desiree Elmore who scored 20 points off 9-of-17 shooting. Marquette, which was playing its first game since Dec. 22, was limited to seven points in the second quarter to trail by 16 at the half. The Golden Eagles (6-2, 3-1 BIG EAST) roared back, however, going on an 11-0 fourth-quarter run to close within seven, 70-63, with 5:50 remaining. Both squads were held scoreless for more than four minutes before Seton Hall (5-3, 3-2) scored seven straight to pull away late. Lauren Van Kleunen led three Golden Eagles in double figures with 13 points off 6-of-9 shooting. MU won the rebounding battle 49-35, but SHU forced 22 Marquette turnovers which it turned into 29 points for the Pirates. Through her first four games in South Orange, Espinoza-Hunter is averaging 17.3 points per game, including 5.5 threes made per contest.
