In the lone BIG EAST game on Tuesday, Butler travels to Connecticut for an 8:30 p.m. ET tipoff on FS1. 

The two teams met Jan. 9 at Hinkle Fieldhouse with the Huskies prevailing 72-60.  UConn’s Tyler Polley came off the bench to score a game-high 18 points.  The Huskies (7-3, 4-3 BIG EAST) shot 10-of-21 from 3-point range, while the Bulldogs (5-7, 4-5 BIG EAST) were only 5-of-15.  Butler has won two in a row and UConn has dropped two straight.  In conference play, Butler is 1-4 on the road, while UConn 1-2 at home.

The only other meeting between the two teams was in the 2011 NCAA National Championship Game.  The Huskies won 53-41.

In this week’s national polls, Villanova held steady at No. 3 in the Associated Press and USA Today polls.  Creighton is ranked 17th by AP and 14th by USA Today.

Going into Tuesday, home teams are only 23-19 (.548) in league play.
