BIG EAST Women’s Basketball Player of the Week
Leilani Correa, St. John’s, So., G
Correa averaged an impressive 32.0 points per game in a pair of road games last week, posting game highs in an overtime setback at Villanova on Monday and a win at Georgetown on Wednesday. The St. John’s sophomore guard scored 29 and added five assists against the Wildcats, before matching her career best with 35 points on 11-of-22 shooting against the Hoyas. She added 3.0 assists and 2.0 steals on the week. Correa’s 35-point outing is the most by a BIG EAST player this season, and a feat she has achieved twice this year after racking up 35 at Delaware on Dec. 10. Last week’s performances moved Correa from fourth in the BIG EAST in scoring to second, as she currently averages 20.0 points per game.
 
BIG EAST Women’s Basketball Freshman of the Week
Paige Bueckers, Connecticut, Fr., G
In a pair of road games against top-25 competition, Bueckers averaged 24.5 points, 7.0 assists and 4.5 rebounds, shooting 60-percent from the field and 80-percent from three. The rookie guard scored a team-high 27 points in Thursday’s setback at 19^th-ranked Arkansas before recording her first double-double with 22 points and 12 assists in Sunday’s win at 17^th-ranked DePaul. On the week she finished third in the BIG EAST in scoring and second in assists. Following her performances, Bueckers jumped from fifth to third on the BIG EAST scoring list this season, bumping her average from 17.1 to 18.5 points per game. This is her sixth BIG EAST Freshman of the Week honor.
 
BIG EAST Women’s Basketball Weekly Honor Roll
Christyn Williams, Connecticut, Jr., G
Williams averaged 22.5 points, 4.5 rebounds and 2.5 assists in a 1-1 road swing against top-25 competition. Her week was highlighted by a career-best 29 points on 12-of-15 shooting at 17^th-ranked DePaul on Sunday, helping the Huskies stay undefeated (9-0) in BIG EAST play.
Payton Brotzki, Creighton, Jr., G
Playing for the first time in 27 days, Brotzki led the Bluejays to a win over Georgetown on Saturday with 18 points off 5-of-10 shooting, including a 3-of-3 clip from three, while adding three assists, two steals and two rebounds.
Lexi Held, DePaul, Jr., G
In the 17^th-ranked Blue Demons’ lone game of the week, Held filled the stat sheet with 16 points, five rebounds, six assists and four steals in a setback to third-ranked UConn on Sunday.
Selena Lott, Marquette, Sr., G
Lott reached the 1,000-career point mark at Villanova on Wednesday with a game-high 27 points off 8-of-17 shooting, dishing a season-high 11 assists for her second double-double of the year and first of the points-assists variety. She added five rebounds and was 5-of-7 from three, leading the Golden Eagles to the win.
Maddy Siegrist, Villanova, So., F
In a 2-1 week for the Wildcats, Siegrist averaged 23.0 points, 9.3 rebounds and 50-percent shooting. She notched double-doubles in wins over St. John’s and Butler, leading Villanova in scoring in all three games, including 24 points against the Red Storm and 26 points against the Bulldogs.
