NEW YORK – DePaul guard Charlie Moore has been named BIG EAST Player of the Week and Xavier guard Colby Jones has been selected BIG EAST Freshman of the Week.  Moore led the Blue Demons to a road victory at St. John’s.  Jones helped the Musketeers in a 1-1 week.   
 
BIG EAST Player of the Week           
Charlie Moore, DePaul, G, Sr. –  Coming back from a leg injury which had sidelined him for the previous two games, Moore returned to spark an 88-83 win at St. John’s.  The senior filled his stat line with 24 points, eight assists and six rebounds.  He made 8-of-13 shots from the field and was 6-of-6 from the foul line, including four free throws in the final 1:06 to help seal the victory.
 
BIG EAST Freshman of the Week
Colby Jones, Xavier, G, Fr. – Jones averaged 16.5 points, 8.5 rebounds and 3.0 steals in a 1-1 week for the Musketeers.  He also shot 64.7 percent from the field.  Jones notched a collegiate high with 20 points in a 93-84 loss at St. John’s and grabbed a career-high 11 rebounds in a 63-51 victory over Butler.  He earns Freshman of the Week honors for the second time this season.      
 
BIG EAST Honor Roll
James Bouknight, Connecticut, G, So. – Averaged 19.5 points and 7.0 rebounds in a 1-1 week after missing eight games with an elbow injury.  Had 21 points and 10 boards in a loss at Villanova (68-60). 
    
Jamorko Pickett, Georgetown, F, Sr. – Posted a team-high 20 points on 8-of-11 shooting and added seven rebounds, three assists and two blocks in a win against Seton Hall (81-75).    
      
Julian Champagnie, St. John’s, G-F, So. – Averaged a league-high 25.0 points in a 1-1 week.  Had 21 points in a win over Xavier (93-84) and 29 in a loss to DePaul (88-83).  Grabbed 6.0 rebounds for the week.
     
Sandro Mamukelashvili, Seton Hall, F, Sr. – Averaged 23.5 points, 8.0 rebounds and 3.5 assists in a 1-1 week.  Had 25 points, 11 rebounds, four assists and two blocked shots in a victory over DePaul (60-52).     
  
Collin Gillespie, Villanova, G, Sr. – In a win over UConn (68-60) had 20 points, including two critical 3-pointers late in the game.  Also had six rebounds and two assists.
