NEW YORK – The Empire State Building, an icon of New York City, will shine its world-famous tour lights in the colors of Georgetown and Creighton, in honor of the BIG EAST Basketball Tournament final on Saturday night. As night falls on the city, the western lights of the Empire State Building will glow in shades of blues for the Bluejays and dark blue and gray for the Hoyas.
At 6:30 p.m. the BIG EAST Championship final will tip off on FOX as the tournament semifinal winners square off. When the final buzzer sounds and the confetti falls, the Empire State Building’s lights will glow in the winning team’s colors.
The BIG EAST Conference has been an Empire State Building Lighting Partner nine of the last 10 years.

Saturday is the first meeting in the BIG EAST Championship game between Creighton and Georgetown. It is the Bluejays third appearance in the title game since joining the league in 2013-14. It will be Georgetown’s first trip to the tournament finals since 2010.
