Player of the Week
Kyler Fedko, UConn, So., OF (Gibsonia, Pa.)
Connecticut sophomore outfielder Kyler Fedko repeats as the BIG EAST Baseball Player of the Week after helping the Huskies to a 2-1 weekend against Saint Joseph’s in Philadelphia. Fedko batted .667 (8-for-12), scoring five times with four RBI and two walks. For the weekend, he had a 1.000 slugging percentage and a .733 on-base percentage. In the first game against the Hawks, the Huskies won 6-4. Fedko went 2-for-4 and scored a run. His single in the seventh inning scored the safety run for UConn. In the second game, a 9-8 loss on Saturday, Fedk went 4-for-4, scoring three times and walking once. In Sunday’s finale, UConn won 13-0. Fedko homered in the fifth, for two RBI, giving UConn a 4-0 lead.
Pitcher of the Week
Tyler Arella, Villanova, Sr., LHP (East Northport, N.Y.)
Villanova senior lefty Tyler Arella had a career-high 10 strikeouts over six scoreless innings at Stony Brook earning the victory for the Wildcats. Arella pitched the first five of his 6.0 innings in a scoreless game, then struck out the final two batters he faced with a runner in scoring position after Villanova got him a lead in the sixth. Arella allowed no runs to score during his appearance and had six hits and two walks. In two weekend starts over the last two weeks, he has allowed two earned runs in 11.1 innings, 1.59 ERA while striking out 14. Villanova has won six in a row, its longest winning streak in 11 years.

Austen Peterson, UConn, Jr., RHP
Peterson pitched 7.1 innings allowing just two hits and a walk while striking out eight to earn the victory behind a 13-0 UConn win over Saint Joseph’s.
Jake Lazzaro, St. John’s, RS-Fr., INF
In a 2-2 series split with Fordham, hit .385 (5-for-13) with two doubles and four runs scored. Drew seven walks in four games to reach base at a .619 clip. Went a perfect 5-for-5 on stolen base attempts.
Tyler Shedler-McAvoy, Seton Hall, Sr., OF
Shedler-McAvoy hit .471 (5-for-12) with four runs scored, two doubles, two home runs and eight RBI to help lead Seton Hall to a series win on the road at George Washington. Shedler-McAvoy had two multi-hit games in the series opener and the series finale, slugged 1.083 with a grand slam in game two.
Chris Rotondo, Villanova, Sr., OF
Paced the Villanova offense during a home-and-home sweep of Stony Brook during the weekend and had a triple in each game. For the weekend, Rotondo went 4-for-8 (.500) wit three runs, an RBI, a walk and a stolen base.
Trevor Olson, Xavier, Sr., LHP
In his second start of the season, Trevor Olson went 7.0 innings in his Friday start against Cincinnati, which ended in a 2-1 win for Xavier. Olson allowed just three hits and one run while striking out seven (1.29 ERA).
