UConn’s last appearance in the BIG EAST Championship was 2012, which was the last time the Huskies played in the BIG EAST before playing seven years in the American Athletic Conference. UConn is 12-39 all-time in the BIG EAST Volleyball championships.
Providence was set to make their first appearance at the BIG EAST Tournament since 1999, after clinching the No. 2 seed in the East last weekend with two wins over Villanova.
