BIG EAST Offensive Player of the Week
Wilmer Cabrera, Jr., Butler, So., F  (Bogota, Colombia)
Butler sophomore forward Wilmer Cabrera Jr., led the charge in a 5-1 victory over DePaul last week for the Bulldogs. He had a foot in all but one goal in the match, scoring a hat trick and adding an assist in the league-opener. It's the first three-goal game for a Bulldog since Lewis Suddick netted a trio against IUPUI on Aug. 30, 2016. Cabrera, Jr. fired a game-high five shots, converting on three of them.
 
BIG EAST Defensive Player of the Week
Musa Qongo, Creighton, Sr., D (Johannesburg, South Africa)
Creighton senior defender Musa Qongo helped on both ends of the pitch in the Bluejays’ 2-0 win over Xavier. On defense, Qongo helped limit the Musketeers to just two shots on goal. On the other end, Qongo recorded an assist on the first goal of the match. It was the first match back for Qongo after missing the first two because of injury.
 
BIG EAST Goalkeeper of the Week
Rimi Olatunji, Providence, Jr., GK (Brampton, Ontario)
Providence junior keeper Rimi Olatunji repeats as BIG EAST Goalkeeper of the Week after two shutouts last week in net. Olatunji made six saves in the double overtime victory against Villanova on Wednesday; then followed up that performance with two saves in a scoreless draw against then-No. 5 Georgetown. Olatunji has not allowed a goal in three straight games.
 
Freshman of the Week
Gevork Diarbian, Providence, Fr., M (Cranston, R.I.)
Providence rookie midfielder Gevork Diarbian helped the No. 14 Friars go 1-0-1 last week. He scored the golden goal in the 106th minute for an overtime victory, 1-0, against Villanova on Wednesday.

Dante Polvara, Georgetown, So., F
Polvara scored two goals, including the golden goal in Georgetown’s 2-1 OT victory over Seton Hall on Wednesday.
Lukas Sunesseon, Marquette, Jr., F
Sunesson continued his breakout junior season, scoring two goals in a 3-1 win over DePaul on Saturday afternoon.
Anthony Herbert, St. John’s, Jr., D
Herbert assisted both goals in the Red Storm’s 2-0 win over UConn on Wednesday. SJU went 1-1-0 last week.
Andreas Nota, Seton Hall, Sr., GK
Nota went 0-1-1 last week in net for the Pirates but registered four saves, including a PK in the 2-1 overtime loss to then-No. 5 Georgetown and three saves in 110 minutes of a 0-0 draw against UConn.
Carson Williams, Villanova, RS-JR., GK
Williams had a 1-1-0 week in goal for the Wildcats, which included an overtime shutout on the road. He had three saves for the week. Williams’ lone goal scored against him for the week came in the 106th minute on the road at then-No. 14 Providence.
