BIG EAST Attack Player of the Week
Keegan Khan, Villanova, Sr., A (Chatham, N.J.)
Villanova senior Keegan Khan had a career day against Providence on Saturday as the Wildcats won 13-6. Khan scored seven goals and assisted two for nine points. Both the goals and points were career highs for the Chatham, N.J., native. Khan had a hat trick in both the first and fourth quarter. Villanova is 4-2 on the season and is in third place currently in the league standings.
BIG EAST Midfielder of the Week
Graham Bundy, Jr., Georgetown, So., M (St. Louis, Mo.)
Georgetown sophomore midfielder Graham Bundy Jr., scored six goals in the No. 10 Hoyas’ 20-7 victory over St. John’s on Saturday. The six goals were a career high. Bundy currently leads the NCAA in goals scored by a midfielder with 24 this season. Georgetown scored 20 goals for the second time this season. The Hoyas’ 20 goals were the most by any Division I team for the week. Georgetown is 7-1 overall, 6-1 in league play.
BIG EAST Defensive Player of the Week
Colin Squires, Denver, Grad., D (West Linn, Ore.)
Denver grad student Colin Squires captained a Denver defense that held Marquette without a goal in the first 21:16 of the second half to kickstart a 7-1 run to start the second 30 minutes of play. Squires and the Denver defense held Marquette to just 14 shots on goal and forced 16 turnovers in the contest. Squires was credited with four ground balls and one caused turnover in the No. 8 Pioneers 16-6 win over Marquette.
Freshman of the Week
TJ Haley, Georgetown, Fr., A (Shady Side, Md.)
Georgetown freshman TJ Haley dished out six assists in Georgetown’s 20-7 win at St. John’s on Saturday. The Hoyas assisted on all 20 of their goals in the game. It was the third time this season Haley registered six assists, becoming the only Hoya in program history with at least six assists in three different games. He leads the NCAA in total assists with 33.
BIG EAST Weekly Honor Roll
JJ Sillstrop, Denver
Netted his third career hat trick on just three shots, giving Denver’s third midfield line a boost.
Jake Carraway, Georgetown
Led the Hoyas with five goals and two assists in a 20-7 win over St. John’s. He also picked up a ground ball and caused one turnover.
Will Vitton, Villanova
Goalkeeper Vitton had an 11-save day in between the pipes for the Wildcats in a 13-6 victory over Providence. His save percentage was .733 for the outing in just over 58 minutes in goal.
