BIG EAST Women’s Track Athlete of the Week
Carson Fields, Butler, Senior
Fields took the top spot in the 100-meters at the Redbird Invite in a time of 11.68. The time bested Field’s own Butler record-breaking finish in the event last weekend (11.88) at the Raleigh Relays and moved her to first in the conference for the event. It currently ranks 80th nationally.

BIG EAST Women’s Field Athlete of the Week
Mackenna Orie, DePaul, Sophomore
Orie set a school record in the outdoor shot put at the Louisville Invitational. After setting a school standard in the indoor shot put at the Blue Demons' lone indoor meet earlier this spring, Orie posted a mark of 15.76 meters this weekend. Orie's record-breaking throw shattered the previous DePaul mark by more than a half meter, and not only leads the BIG EAST currently but is 51st nationally. Orie also recorded an impressive distance in the discus at 49.07m, which ranks second in the BIG EAST and 87th nationally.
