BIG EAST Offensive Player of the Week

Taylor Wolf, Marquette, Right Side/Setter, Graduate Student, Waconia, Minn. 

Marquette graduate student Taylor Wolf kicked off the 2021 season in a strong way, racking up a combined 34 kills, 28 digs and seven service aces en route to tournament MVP honors and a 3-0 weekend for the Golden Eagles. Wolf notched a double-double with 15 kills and 24 assists in a victory over Texas A&M on Friday night. She would outdo herself the next day, securing a triple-double with an 11-kill, 23-assist and 12-dig performance against Hawaii. Wolf would then wrap up the weekend by tallying eight kills and 17 assists in a victory over Fairfield.

BIG EAST Defensive Player of the Week

Rachel Krasowski, DePaul, Sophomore, Libero, Orland Park, Ill. 

Sophomore Rachel Krasowski was a force defensively this past weekend for the Blue Demons, helping their charge towards a 2-1 record on opening weekend. The sophomore had a trio of double-digit dig performances, highlighted by a career-high 38 digs against Southeast Missouri State on Friday. Krasowski would tally 24 more digs against Central Michigan and another 11 against Bradley, both leading to DePaul victories. The libero finished the weekend with a BIG EAST leading 7.3 digs per set. 

BIG EAST Freshman of the Week

Kendra Wait, Creighton, Freshman, Setter, Gardner, Kan. 

Freshman Kendra Wait introduced herself to collegiate volleyball in a big way, securing tournament MVP honors as Creighton went 3-0 at the Mizzou Invitational. The Gardner, Kan. Native notched five kills to go along with 32 assists, seven digs and two blocks in a victory over Kansas City on Friday. The freshman then secured back-to-back double-doubles, totaling 31 assists and 10 digs against Saint Louis as well as 29 assists and 15 digs in the win over Missouri. 

BIG EAST Weekly Honor Roll

Jill Pressly, DePaul, So. OH 

Notched three double-doubles and was named to All-Tournament Team as DePaul finished 2-1 at the CEFCU Invitational. Totaled 18 kills and 20 digs to go along with a trio of blocks in the season opener against Southeast Missouri State. 

Savannah Rennie, Marquette, Graduate Student, MB 

Rennie was a force at the net at the Golden Eagles finished 3-0 at the Rainbow Wahine Classic. The graduate student finished with a BIG EAST leading 19 total blocks on the weekend. 

Allison Barber, Providence, Graduate Student, S 

Barber secured three double-doubles over the weekend as Providence went 2-1 at the Army Invitational. Totaled 43 assists, 15 digs and three blocks in a win over Iona on Saturday. 

Carrigan O’Reilly, Xavier, Junior, S/RS 

Had a pair of double-doubles on the weekend. Totaled 10 kills and 44 assists against Charlotte on Friday night before tallying 43 assists and 11 digs on Saturday against Colorado. 

Stevie Wolf, Xavier, Sophomore, L 

Named to Charlotte Invitational All-Tournament Team. Finished the weekend averaging 5.82 digs per set. Had a 35 dig performance to go along with six assists against Charlotte on Friday.
