BIG EAST Notables

• BIG EAST teams and student-athletes lead Division I in 14 statistical categories, including St. John’s Zsani Kajan – Kajan is the nation’s top scorer based on goals per game (2.33), points per game (4.67), total goals (7) and total points (14).
• Georgetown climbed three spots in this week’s United Soccer Coaches Poll to No. 8. Xavier continued to receive votes for a second straight week. The unbeaten Hoyas (2-0-1)  face two Ivy League squads this week in Dartmouth (Thursday, 4 p.m. ET, FloSports) and Princeton (Sunday, 1 p.m., FloSports), while the undefeated Musketeers (4-0-0) visit Illinois on Thursday (8 p.m., BTN+) before hosting Tennessee Tech on Sunday (1 p.m., FloSports).
• BIG EAST teams have two ranked foes on the docket this week as Marquette (1-1-0) travels to 14^th-ranked BYU on Thursday at 9 p.m. before DePaul (2-1-0) visits No. 24 Michigan on Sunday at 1 p.m. BIG EAST teams are 1-1-0 against teams appearing in the top 25 of the United Soccer Coaches Poll, with Xavier knocking off then-No. 21 Saint Louis, 1-0, during the opening week of play.
• Five BIG EAST teams are unbeaten on the year, including Seton Hall. At 3-0-0, the Pirates have opened the season with three straight wins for the first time since the start of the 2012 season.  That year, the Hall started 5-0. The Pirates now have their most wins in a single-season since 2016, and the calendar hasn't yet turned to September.
• Villanova is also undefeated on the year at 4-0-0, while standout senior Chloe O’Neill has the second-most goals in Division I just behind Kajan at five.
