BIG EAST Notables:

• BIG EAST play starts Saturday for men’s soccer as the league still boasts the No. 1 team in the country with Georgetown. The BIG EAST went 37-16-5 against their non-conference foes. Non-conference play will continue through the season in midweek and weekend games through Wednesday, Oct. 27.
• Along with the top-ranked Hoyas, Seton Hall moved up to No. 19 from No. 22 this week in the United Soccer Coaches poll. Providence started receiving votes. Marquette fell out of the poll with three consecutive losses.
• Against top 25 opponents, BIG EAST teams are 4-5-1, 3-0-0 on their home pitches.
• BIG EAST players rank No. 1 nationally in four statistical categories. Xavier’s Jerome Jolly is one of three players in the country with three game-winning goals. Georgetown keeper Giannis Nikopolidis is one of three goalies in Division I with a 0.00 goals-against average. He is also tied with two other players nationally with a 1.000 save percentage. Xavier keeper Matthew Rosenberg has four shutouts credited to his stat sheet, one of 10 players in D1.
• As a team Seton Hall ranks second in the country statistically in total points (56), total goals (17), total assists (22) and assists per game (3.67). Clemson is the NCAA leader in all four of those categories.
• All six of Saturday’s games will be streaming on FloSports, all league games will produced by the BIG EAST Digital Network (BEDN) Presented by SoFi on FloSports.
