Georgetown 77, Sacred Heart 44

Summer Davis came off the bench to lead Georgetown with 12 points, while Laila Jewett and Khia Miller both scored 11 points apiece. Cristen Carter finished with nine points and nine rebounds. Georgetown was in command all 40 minutes, outscoring Sacred Heart in every quarter. Head Coach Darnell Haney recorded his 100th career victory.
Five BIG EAST Players On Wooden Award Watch List
The BIG EAST saw five players on the 2025-26 John R. Wooden Award Top 50 watch list, announced on Tuesday. UConn’s Sarah Strong, Azzi Fudd, Serah Williams, and Kayleigh Heckel, and Villanova’s Jasmine Bascoe are among the 50 players. Fudd is averaging 17.8 points per game and was named to the Naismith Trophy, Wade Trophy and Ann Meyers Drysdale Award watch lists, while Williams was placed on the Naismith Trophy, Wade Trophy and Lisa Leslie Award watch lists. Strong earned the conference’s preseason player of the year laurels and leads UConn in points, rebounds, assists, steals, and blocks this season. Heckel has been impactful off the bench, averaging eight points a game. Bascoe leads Nova in scoring (18.0 ppg) through four games while shooting402 from the field (35-87). She has been named to the BIG EAST’s weekly honor roll the last two weeks. The last BIG EAST player to win the Wooden Award was UConn alum Paige Bueckers in 2021.

Wooden Award Program hosts the most prestigious honors in college basketball, recognizing the Wooden Award Most Outstanding Player for men and women, the Wooden Award All-America Teams for men and women, and the annual selection of the Wooden Award Legends of Coaching recipient.

St. John’s Welcomes Nationally Ranked Oklahoma State
St. John’s opens its doors to #18 Oklahoma State on Wednesday at 7 p.m. on ESPN+. The Johnnies will host their first Big 12 opponent since 2017, when they defeated Kansas. SJU ‘s recent 88 points against Yale marked the program’s highest scoring total since 2022 against Xavier (96 pts). St. John’s ranks second in the BIG EAST in scoring defense (56.3) this season but will have to be locked in for all 40 minutes as Oklahoma State is averaging 105.6 points per game.
Double Trouble
Butler’s identical twins, Saniya and Neveah Jackson, are averaging the same numbers through four games for the Bulldogs. The numbers are as followed – 9.5 points per game, 11 two-point field goals, seven made free throws, and three three-pointers. Butler travels to Bloomington to play Indiana on Wednesday at 7 p.m. The Bulldogs defeated the Hoosiers last year at home (56-46).
Next Comes 250
Marquette head coach Cara Consuegra is just one win away from reaching 250 career wins. Consuegra came to Marquette with 225 wins and has recorded 24 victories over the last two seasons. Marquette is on the road Wednesday night at Milwaukee.
